ARE THE SHADES OF GREEN BUSES RUNNING OR DO WE HAVE TO TAKE CONTEMPORARY RESORT TRANSPORTATION?
DO THEY HAVE THAT WONDERFUL BREAKFAST ON THE RUN CART THAT ALWAYS SAT OUT FRONT AT SOG?
AND LASTLY DOES THE MEARS BUS TAKE US TO THE NORTH GARDEN WING OR DO WE HAVE TO WALK FROM THE CONTEMPORARY FRONT ENTRANCE?

NO, THERE ARE NO SOG BUSSES RUNNING SINCE THERE IS NO SOG RESORT, FOR THE TIME BEING.

NO, THEY DO NOT HAVE A FOOD CART OUT FRONT FOR THE SAME ABOVE REASON.

I IMAGINE MEARS WOULD BE HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR THE EXTREMELY SHORT DISTANCE IT IS TO GO FROM THE TOWER OF THE CONTEMP TO THE NORTH WING, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.

I can promise you that no one thinks that you are a "stupid old lady." The reason that this valuable resource exists is so that we can all ask questions and help one another.

If only all the world was a nice as the DIS!

Enjoy your trip! The transportation is great and the walk from the North Garden Wing to MK is very short and pleasant. My kids (13 and 5) really enjoyed the walkway and speculating on the people that bought all of those bricks.

There was no breakfast cart while we were there but there is a food court in the CR. If you wanted to bring your own breakfast items like bagels or pop-tarts, there are toasters and a microwave in the food court.

Most of us on the DIS are pleasant and don't respond in an unkind way. Perhaps Firstno is having a bad day? She always been the source of great SOG information and we miss her as our "inside" source.

The garden wing and the tower building are very close and there are Disney bellpersons to help anyone get their luggage to the room at all hours.

I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did last month.

No, not a bad day, just a lack of time for a "pretty" response. I usually am direct and with the new job, I don't have the kind of time to spend on line like I used to, much less go into extravagant answers (especially for questions that were easy enough to be answered "yes" or "no") because someone might be sensitive. The questions were answered and the reason for the answer (i.e. no bus, it's closed) was given. I responded in caps because w/a SN like "Gram" I figured the person had trouble seeing so I was responding in kind so he/she could read it. I'll be sure to not respond to this individual in the future as I don't need the sarcasm when I'm using what little time I have on the computer trying to answer questions.

One of the problems with internet discussion boards is that the reader cannot see the body language or facial expression of the poster. This can lead to mis-understanding because we all sometimes read into a post that which is not there.

I can read posts and it will hit me different depending on my own mood or state of mind.

The Contemporary Resort busses and Monorail are great modes of transportation for park visiting.

When we check in, we park in the "Check in" area of the parking lot (we don't do the valet parking thing). Of course we drove our own car down.

The North Garden Wing isn't far at all from the Lobby, your Mears bus will drop you off at the lobby entrance, and I'm sure a bellman would be glad to take your luggage (and you) to your room.
I've heard from the SoG employees in the gift shop/ticket center, and the preview room (that's what I call it) next door that the "Breakfast on the Run" concession is either on hiatus or serving the construction folks doing the renovations.

We usually walk to the Magic Kingdom from the North Garden wing- we have a brick in the "Walk Around the World", and enjoy running across it during our stroll.
