Any one of you creative people out there, HELP!!! I need to know what software you use and the ease of it. I'm looking to purchase a software that will allow me to do what you guys do. I'm looking for something that easy to learn and navigate to teach myself. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0. I think that the newest version is 5.0, but I don't know how it differs.

I am still learning new things, but the basic stuff is very easy to pick up.

A lot of the designers here use Photo Impact. I downloaded the trial version, but I didn't spend much time with it. I was happier using what I already knew.

You can get trial versions of both programs. Search on them to find the sites.

I'm going to try & help you here & hope I explain myself ok LOL.

When you open the frame & picture, they should both be showing in your layer pallet. click on the layer tab & you should see both pictures. One should say background & the other should say layer one. Double click on the one that says background & rename it layer 0. This should allow you to move the picture into the frame. PM me if you need additional help.

I can't seem to get the picture (not frame) in the layer pallet, I am suck a dork. I just asked this type of question in a new thread. I have PSE 4.0 and I am so not smart.
I'll take any more inof you want to share.

My mistake, you will not see both pics (frame & photo) in the layer pallet until you actually move the picture onto the frame or vice versa. With that said, open both the picture & the frame so they are both showing on the work area. Highlight the frame (just click on it), then go to image on your toolbar & click on mode. Change it to RGB. repeat this step for the picture as well. Both frame & picture have to be in RGB mode in order to be moved onto each other. once they are both in RGB mode and the picture is moved onto the frame or vice versa, you should see them both in your layer pallet. Then double click (in the layer pallet) the one that says background & rename it to layer 0. then you can tweak the frame & picture, meaning you can stretch it or make it smaller.

If you move the picture on top of the frame, and need to get it behind the frame, highlight the photo in the layer pallet, then click on layer on the toolbar, go down to arrange & click on move to back.

Hope this helped.
