My DD11 is obsessed with fashion design right now. she is constantly drawing outfits. she just found Project runway and is of course in

She keeps pointing out the tablets they use to draw their designs. I googled and found HP Touch PC. We have an iPad, i'm wondering if there is an app to do what they do on the HP?

DD has an iPod touch and a netbook. I really can't afford to buy her another electronic device right now but would love to get her an app or software for design.

I would think it is a basic drawing or making art program, unless she actually sees fashion templates being used, like a basic skirt template or figure of a person, and then they overlay an outfit on top.

Maybe there are Project Runway forums or fashion design forums and someone there would know the program they use. Also check out the Fashion Institute of Technology website. http://fitnyc.edu/ Read the requirements for taking different fashion design courses. They might list the exact software required for the courses. They also might have some school forum the students chat on, which you can ask at.

Or check out various fashion designer's blogs. Especially people who sell clothing on Etsy.com. They might show pics of them designing on their tablets. Then you can email them or ask in their comment section under the blog entry. Or ask at the Etsy forums.
