Can small soft-sided coolers be brought onboard if they are within the size limit stated in cruise documents for carryon luggage? I plan on bringing a few sixpacks (soda/beer) for our cabin.

They are allowed as long as they will fit thru the x-ray machine at the security check in. We just got a new soft sided cooler that holds about 18 cans and since Coke products are provided onboard we will be bringing our favorite Mt Dews.

Do not have any ice in it & as long as it will fit through the scanner at the terminal you can bring it. The scanner at the terminal is very similar to the scanners at an airport.

My husband and our friend used theirs AS their carry on. Had it filled with the day 1 necessities (camera, swimsuit, wallet, etc.) We also carried on a case of cans of beer and had a couple bottles of liquor in our suitcases. Never had a problem or questions. Didn't even use the soft cooler, as the cooler in the room worked fine for us.

And remember, Coke products are now free onboard, so if you're ok with them, no need to bring soda either.
