Soft Opening for Star Tours for AP holders?

When I was at Disneyland last week, a cast member mentioned that they would likely do a soft opening of Star Tours and The Little Mermaid for AP holders.

Has anyone else heard this? Do you think this is something that they would do?

They are running a contest for Star Tours for AP holders right now. I believe the signup period ended on May 8th, and we should find out on Monday if were selected. Check out the Disneyland AP website for the details.

I was hoping that if we won the Star Tours preview, we'd get a bonus crack at the Little Mermaid.
