Soft opening for Soaring?

Will there be a soft opening for Soaring. I saw an opening date of June 2. Was wondering if they may have a soft opening the week of Memorial Day.

Nobody knows. Disney will not commit to an opening date. Too many variables. Things could take longer, or things could move quicker. The June 2nd date was not released by Disney I don't think.

Summer of 2016. That is all Disney has said. Any dates are merely projections from bloggers.

Disney will probably announce a date closer when they are sure they will be ready, and folks can begin booking FP+.

Whenever there is a refurb to a ride or attraction do they have a soft opening first before the official opening?

I would think it's very likely with a brand new ride to test the waters but with this an existing ride, just don't know. No guaranteed answer.

With 7DMT they did soft opening timeframes in the couple weeks prior to it but they were all AFTER Disney announced an official opening date.

They do soft openings sometimes. I recall they did this for the new test track. It was not officially open, but people reported that cm's were inviting people in to try it out.
