Hello, all. Me and the DW (usually WDW fanatics) are making a pilgrimage to DL this year instead. We heard about the new "finding nemo" submarine ride from the Disney Christmas day parade broadcast:santa: . All we've heard about the opening is "early 2007" Has anybody heard of opening dates for this ride, soft or otherwise?. We will be there mid March and are wondering if we will get to see it.:wizard:

I wouldn't count on March. Last I heard the openning was push out to late June/July.

Thanks for the replies, all, Bummer:sad: At least We gwt to see POTC this time (was down for the Sparrow/barbossa rehab last time at WDW).

June would be awesome since we are going to try a quick trip in mid-June to check it out!

I was gonna try for June, now I am thinking July. But, every ride (Monsters, Buzz) all opened for soft openings a few weeks before they were actually opening so maybe June wouldn't be bad! Get in before everyone really knows, but you are taking a chance at it not being open.

I remember the Buzz opening was March 8 or 10 or something like that, and we rode it multiple times on our trip March 3-6.

Not sure about opening, but I can confirm that the lagoon is now full of water and there are several subs at the dock.

so... (I try to sound very casual...) what will folks with closterphobia (sp) be thinking about this ride? I hate to be the chicken-dork every single trip!

Woohoo! Actually what I am most scared of is the lines. I don't know how many of you remember the old subs, but it was pretty bad most of the time. I am afraid this will end up being my kids favorite ride and with no baby swap/fastpass, it might really suck for me if they love it!!! :rotfl:

I am most interested in finding out how the line/unloading/loading system will work out. Can anyone tell yet, is there any of the platforms in place for that?

It is definitely hard on those that hate small enclosed spaces. Most of all I am hoping that they worked out some type of ventilation system because in the summer, the B.O. smell in the subs could literally knock you to the floor.
I'm guessing that's one of the things they would have improved on but you never know!!

I remember the old sub line, yes it was bad! Would be really nice if they made it a fastpass ride. Since it's gonna be new (and probably A LOT better then the old ride), it's going to no doubt draw bigger crowds. I'm quite worried about that line myself!

oh no... my two biggest phobias: Small clsoed spaces and BO! Eeew!

So I am guessing I won't see you on the Nemo ride :rotfl: You could be like Jacque, the little guy in the movie that can't help but clean everything. I want to be in line behind you so it will all be wiped down when I get on!:lmao:

Here's you smashed between two people with BO :crowded:

Here's you after you get a whiff :faint:

BWAAAA HAAAAA! Sorry I am cracking myself up today!!

THAT IS DISGUSTINGLY ACCURATE!!!!! BUT... the one thing is, BO is likely to make me hurl! So, better re-think your place in line! :scared1:

Ok this is cracking me up! BO......NASTY!

I remember the smell in the old subs. How could anyone ever forget that. It would be nice if they did have a better vent system.

I hope the loading is different since there will be no FP. I remember waiting 2 hours most of the time as a child. Of course it could have been 15 minutes but when your 10 it seems like FOREVER!!!!! Very slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww line.

Thanks for the warning, I think I'll go first and deal with the B.O. That is too funny!

No I don't think it was our imagination, it was long. Even when it wasn't long, it wasn't efficient at loading so it was so slow, like you said!!

I am so scared now that it won't be fastpass that I will be spending hours upon hours in that line again. I promise to wear deodorant if you all do!!:rotfl:

Once Nemo opens, we'll have to pack air fresheners right along with our hand sanitizer.;)
