Sofa beds

Sister K & I are on the May 18th Wonder repositioning cruise San Diego-Vancouver. We gave category 5B with a veranda. The description says a queen bed with a sleeper sofa bed. Are the sofa beds comfortable for an adult to sleep on? We can share a king bed but a queen bed, Nope! Plus I sleep with lots of pillows due to back/disc issues. Thanks for any tips!

Yes, they are a twin mattress that is connected to the back of the sofa back. They flip the back down at night to sleep on. They are nice quality mattresses with great linens! She'll be fine

I was worried about the queen size too...My husband and I are not small people and we have a king bed at home. We both did just fine on the bed. But one night our son asked if he could sleep on the big bed, so my husband slept on the sofa bed. He's 6'3" and probably close to 280 and managed just fine.

Sadly I weigh 250 and slept on that sleeper sofa year and half ago. Of course nothing is ever as comfortable as your own bed at home, but around day 5 or 6 I felt a "little" uncomfortable but nothing that two Tylenol and a cup of coffee didn't cure. In about 6-7 more weeks I have another appointment with that same couch!

None of the people we cruised with thought the pull out sofa bed was comfortable, especially not for two. Typical hard spots and bar that one associated with a pull out could be felt. We asked for a fold away instead which was quite comfy (for one).

You must be talking about an actual soft pullout bed that is in some of the larger staterooms. The sofa in the regular size rooms only hold 1 and is not a pull out so is no bar down the middle.

I am Pooh size myself so I am relieved it is comfortable. Big (older) sister gets the "big" bed. We didn't have a discussion about it but that's what I'm planning. Since it's her connection that is making the trip possible, I'll happily let her keep her 1st born status and all that entails.

M adult sister found the sofa bed ok but uncomfortable -- especially while sitting, her legs/knees hit the edge in a REALLY uncomfrotable way. Since she refuses to share a bed with her older sister, she gets the sofa bed and I get the real bed

On our last cruise (B2B on the Dream) we got an 8B deluxe family outside stateroom that had a murphy bed. She slept on it and was quite happy with it. Apparently this means that all our future DCL cruises we will be having a room with a murphy bed.

Me too! And have slept on it on 9 cruises including 14 night Panama Canal cruise. It's perfectly fine. The pull down Murphy beds on the large ships however - hard as a rock and very uncomfortable!!!!
