I live in New Jersey and call it soda...I've never heard anyone call it pop.

I grew up down south and we always called it Coke. It didn't matter if it was pepsi, real coke,or sprite...it was always called Coke.

Another southern poster here. It was and is Coke::yes::

Coke here, too. The generic machines will say Cold Drinks.

If you don't call it coke we know you're not from around here!

LOL - The Coke company certainly did its job marketing all those years ago! :)

I'm a Midwesterner, so it's "pop."

Funny I have been down south a few times but I guessed I missed the COKE label. I am sure the Coca- COla Co. Likes that label!!!

For us it's tonic, so I must have grown up somewhere near julie-yet's grandmother.

Most of the people here say "pop" and honestly that grates on my ears to hear... I say soda and my DH says Coke (yes, *everything* is "Coke" to him).
