Socks, Crocs and NO blisters...??

I have seen lots of posts about wearing Crocs and I know for myself they do work for lots of park touring. Last trip I wore them with socks but they were the little no show cotton socks and I did get blisters from the friction of the socks.
This trip I will still be wearing my Cayman Crocs but I need a good brand of socks to wear with them that will make my feet comfortable and not cause the friction problems. My 2nd pair of park shoes are Birks but the cotton socks caused problems with them too..

Forgot to add that we are going in December, while I think days will be warm enough for maybe no socks evenings will probably require them.

I HIGHLY recommend getting some body glide...it helps with the friction. Avon sells a form of it, too...it is fantastic!

On our last trip (sept 10 to sept 17th 2008) I had a pair of clark sandles on the first day and it rained a flood and I got blisters on the tops of my toes.

I switched to my comfy crocs and for some reason I got blisters on the tops of my feet and under my little toes! I have used my crocks at the world before and no blisters.

So for the rest of the week I walked in pain, used glide and mole skin but nothing helped.

I think I will try socks next time but dont know what ones will be the best.

I can't remember the brand name, but the socks I wore were the "wick away" type socks. 10 days, no foot pain.

I love Smartwool light hiker socks with my crocs in the winter - they really hug your feet, no bunching.

When it comes to socks, remember, Cotton is the Enemy!! I have both wicking socks and Smartwool and do very well avoiding blisters.

I have also learned to keep my feet dry. I usually have an extra pair of socks with me, and also take off my socks when I see rain coming. After the rain, I dry out my crocs and dry my feet and put my socks back on. No blisters that way. Of course, I did learn the hard way with a HUGE blister on the sole of one of my feet one year...
