Social Security help!

I applied online & used the “have an expert call you back” feature. I screwed up many months ago because I couldn’t answer their security questions (what loan company did you have a car loan in 1997! Or something like that) I did this during the first half of Nov & my first check was deposited today.

Thank you. That's encouraging, but based on other responses I won't expect it that fast. My stupidity.

@sam_gordon, no. Wow, thank you! Clearly now, I'm wrong about how and when the kaytie ID was created. I see now that even though I created that ID first, I didn't log into that account until about two years ago.

Gee, thanks for the definition of inadvertent, but you really didn't answer the question. Two accounts. To set up an account, you have to not only come up with a user name, but also a password. It's not "accidental".

• I registered using the ID Kaytie in May 2005, probably without posting
• I registered using the ID kaytieeldr in June 2005 and posted using this ID consistently from then to December 2015
• I must have [inadvertently/accidentally/insert word of your choice] signed in using the Kaytie ID when I got a new Fire
• I've been posting from each tablet using the ID I had logged into it with originally
• The "Kaytie" tablet is on its last legs and not being used after the next post

Well, you proved that you have two accounts, not two tablets. I'm not discounting that you own two, of course, but anyone can have two accounts: log out of one, and then log in to the other. Honestly, I don't see why it matters that you actively use two different accounts. I doubt anyone really cares.

I don't think they care whether or not she has two accounts. It seems that her responses just didn't make sense, so people asked their questions. Not a big deal.

Update (if anyone cares and at the risk of being criticized/questioned again ):

As suggested by the SS Expert I spoke with last month, I went to the Social Security office without an appointment and with the expectation of a long wait. I was there about 45 minutes before they opened, and first in line. Once they opened, I was the first non-appointment called in (two of the three appointment people were no-shows.)

I was in and out in a half hour, and my payments start next month.

I'm glad you got your social security figured out. To the person who asked about younger people in the office. I'm not young but can't draw yet but I was there for my disabled daughter. A younger couple was there as they were both disabled and had appointments.

Yeah, im pretty sure about 98% of the people when i was there aren't even close to retiring. One was holding a place for her dad (he being the other 2% ), one just needed inckme verification, one needed disability, someone just dropped off paperwork...
