SoCal summer start?

Hi, All:

When do most of the SoCal schools start their summer breaks this year? Thanks for any help.

I saw somone mention June 17th. Which stuck out for me because it's the same as my school district.

There is no most. There are probably a hundred or so districts in SoCal. I know some of our local schools are already out. My kids go through the 10th. Some go through the end of June.

June 10th for Simi, Conejo (Thousand Oaks), and Pleasant Valley (Camarillo). Moorpark is out this Friday (June 3rd - would have been the 10th, but they have the last week as furlough days apparently). Oxnard and Ventura are June 16th.

Summer hours start today (Memorial Day) and end on Labor Day. That's probably the best way to gauge expected crowds. Lots of schools take end of year trips, so that adds to the crowds even before the kids get out of school. They'll probably (hopefully) clear out somewhat early in the evening though.

Yes, there are a lot of districts and each one has a different schedule.

Redlands and Yucaipa/Calimesa are already done for the year.

Most of Corona/Norco (those not year round) last day is June 2nd. 6th graders is June 1st. We are about 1/2 hour from the parks.

Anaheim Unified is June 16th. Many schools around DLR are AUHSD.
