SoCal 2fer offer

I still absolutely do not understand WHY Disney does not offer stuff like this to ALL CA residents. It makes NO sense at all. They offer WDW FL residents the same deals, all of FL, they offer So Cal deals to BAJA residents, why not Northern California? Pay attention Disney!! Offer EVERYone in CA something good.

But why not all the states.?

I agree! Well and more so, since I live in CA!

We are going to Disneyland with our cousins who are Anaheim residents, would they be able to purchase tickets for us? They would be with us at the gate to show an ID or does each person need an ID? Just wondering cause that could save us some $$$. :thumbsup2

Seems a decent enough deal, but with a catch. Note that it's for one day in each park, not two days however you want to spend them. Personally, I've never found enough of interest in DCA to stay a whole day, morning to evening. But perhaps that's just me.

I think the SoCal APs are a better deal. That said, I agree -- I wish they'd make these deals available to ALL Californians.

Why not? Well because they are resident specials, FL residents get FL resident deals, So Cal residents get So Cal resident deals, BUT NO ONE in Nor Cal gets ANY type of deal, it's really frustrating. Why are Nor Cal residents different from So Cal? Aren't we in the same state? Last time I checked we were.......
But sure, Disney, why not offer deals like that to ALL US & CANADA RESIDENTS?????

Really Bob? I have no problems at all spending a full day in DCA, in fact some of our trips we spent more time in DCA then we did in DLR. :) So Cal APs are a better deal but I wouldn't want one, they are too restricted for our family. :)

I think because it's a reward for us SoCal people for having to put up with so much traffic, smog, and palm trees. ;)

It does seem like NorCal always gets the short end of the stick in the Resident promos/offers, Kerri!

If I were going to get a 2fer ticket (with a hotel stay, because I would do DL one day and then DCA the next day or vice versa), I wouldn't mind spending one whole day in DCA at all. In fact, my friend and I did that back in October 2008. We were there the entire day - we hadn't planned to spend all day in DCA but it just worked out that way. And in October of 2009, we only made a one-day trip to DLR, but we spent a large chunk of that time in DCA. I prefer to have the Hopping option, but I could live with it if I had to stick with DCA all day. No problem. In fact, as crowded as DL seems to have been lately, staying in DCA may be a nice change of pace.

I wonder if the 3-day Hopper for $99 deal will return this year too - that was also a SoCal thing, if I am not mistaken, and it was offered last summer up until August, I think.

They are trying to 'reward' us SoCal residents for having to put up with our unbearable 76-degree WINTER temperatures that we have been having in the last few days!!! We are suffering here! We need some good DLR discounts!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ummmm Julie, my friend, we have those here too! LOL :lovestruc

Well, okay, you're right about the traffic. Northern California has it's share of traffic. Not sure i ever experienced smog up there though (well, at least in santa rosa). But I was just visiting up there for Christmas and oh, it's so nice with all the green trees and non-desert looking areas. I miss it already.

:rotfl2: Yeah, it's been really tough! :rotfl2:

About spending all day at DCA, DH's family all got 2fers last year and we went with them so we did DL one day and DCA the next. We actually had no problem spending all day there. In fact, there were several things we didn't even get around to doing. We also had a fairly big group and it was during spring break so that probably slowed us down a bit.
