Can you recommend a family friendly restaraunt off the shore in Newport Beach?

oh, definitely the Crab Cooker. Our first time was when I was a kid, we lived on Lido Isle in the late 60's and used to go there all the time. Eating there brings back some wonderful memories. The food is great and the decorations are really neat (love the shark overhead). I even have a pen & ink of the place at home and every time I look at it I get a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Yeah, the crab cooker is cool. There also is the Old Spaghetti Factory.
