SoCA discount tickets

Does anyone remember when they released the discount 3 day tickets this year for Southern CA residents? I would love to know the dates you can use them next year before we plan our May trip (assuming they do them again). I would like to avoid the dates they are valid if possible! There seemed to be a pretty big drop in crowds the day after they expired.

I agree with your idea. Those tickets seems to really kill the low crowd value of off season this year! I will be avoiding those days in the future for sure!

They were on sale 1/9/17-5/22/17 and valid through 5/25/17.

It was a killer deal, we used it once for my sons friend, but by all accounts they really packed the park with locals, especially on the last weekend they were valid.

Just to note, they don't consistently offer that deal. I believe before this spring, the last time they offered it was during the DCA construction of Cars Land around 2011 or 2012. But it's possible they will do it next year if Disney thinks crowds will be lower again.

They've offered it every year since then, but prior to 2015 the tickets were good into June.

They didn't offer it in 2013, the year Carsland opened. They skip years if they think demand will be high enough to get away with not offering it.

I suspect they will offer it again in 2018, possibly 2019, but then after Star Wars land opens up, not offer it again for a few more years
