So, I love to drink as much as the next, but decided to clean it up a bit. I'm finally going to make this round last longer than the past attempts. Any one interested in joining me? I figure that since it's a new month and on a Monday, why not start today.

My only plan to drink will be back at Disney. :)

Day 1 has begun!!

:) DH and I decided that we enjoyed drinking too much when we married so we stopped. I believe I would have a real problem if I had not made the conscious effort 18 years ago. When we go to Disney he and I will get a glass or 2 of wine at dinner when we eat Signature meals only. The rest of the time he only drinks bottled water and nothing from the tap. I like fountain drinks so I am a Coca Cola girl. We will be there in 11 days!!

I am happy for you and hope you have a great trip. It is one day at a time, for anyone trying to change a life path...Godspeed.

Just returned from Disney Sunday and my husband drank too much and well I almost left him there. He had not had a drink in almost a year and we went to the swan and dolphin classic Friday night bad bad bad idea. I am on the wagon with you and hopefully my husband will be also. Day 1 for me

I'm sober for many years now. Will get to WDW for my 5th trip on Nov. 7. Does anyone know of any 12 step meetings on the HUGE property?:hippie:

there's an "official club" for this...AA. helped me achieve 24 years sober from first white chip 10/16/88.

Good for you. I unfortunately cannot drink alcohol even if I wanted to (multiple stomach issues, don't get me started..) but my husband however is obstaining from alcohol because of his past problems with it. When we went to WDW in Sept he had no problem staying away from any of the alcohol, he instead stuffed himself with food, soda, and coffee haha. I don't know if you are just trying to be sober for health reasons or addictive reasons but regardless going sober is good for you. We are still only in our late 20's and have already seen what havoc it can have on a person's life and it really isn't worth it. A drink here or there for parties is fine but save yourself the hangovers, money, and issues and good look with your sobriety.

So we are both there with you staying sober :) Plus think of all the money you can save from not buying alcohol to now spend at the park!
