Can someone tell me what Soarin' is like? I searched and didn't find the info.. I am going with 3yo and 5 yo in Dec. (and I can't handle motion simulators or tight spaces). I am wondering if this would be a good ride for us. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The height limit it 40 inches. We were with some friends over the weekend and they were telling us all about it. There dd is 3 and she loved it. We were then planning on taking my dd who is also 3. I went and looked at the height limit and we are too small. My dd is only 37 1/2 inches with out shoes. I expect her to make it on the 38 inches rides but that is it.

No tight spaces at all, I felt very free as we were "Soarin" through the air. I did close my eyes at one point but it was good.

Hope you enjoy the ride!

No closed in spaces at all. Its one of the best rides that Disney World has now. DH and I did it two weeks ago and it was great.

I am afraid of heights and have BAD motion sickness. I LOVED Soarin. It was my favorite ride.

Ditto to the fear of heights and motion sickness, here. I did take something for motion sickness. And if you sit in the last row you can see that you are not far off the floor. I loved it and even sat in the first (and highest) row second time around. Don't miss it! ::MickeyMo

Thank you for all the responses! That really helps! Sometimes the 360 theaters put my motion sickness in overdrive.. It sounds like I don't have to worry!

what did you take for motion sickness? just curious as I fall in this category, but really want to ride soarin' :teeth:

We went to Disneyland this summer, Soarin' was our favorite ride. (And I am a ride weenie). None of us had any motion sickness at all. It is just a wonderful feeling of hang-gliding over California, without the fear of falling! Don't miss this one! :cheer2:

I've used Dramamine for motion sickness before, (used in advance of tummy discomfort) but I heard that there is a wristband that can help. Anyone know what that wristband is called?

Dramamine puts me to sleep. If the motion sickness is really bad they have a patch you can get from your doctor. I use it for cruises.

I have a tendancy to get woozie to sick on some of the motion simulation rides (Star Tours=woozie but doable, Body Wars=dizzy and icky feeling). Soarin was one of my all time fav theme park rides, it was just amazing. I rode it with my 11 and 7 yr olds and they thought it was amazing too. I worried it might bother me but it was an extremely gentle and pleasant ride, not once did I feel at all uncomfortable let alone ill. Enjoy!
