When you go in, you go to one of the three "gates" right? A, B and C. Do all 9 of those rows go up at once, or is each "Gate" separate? In the other pictures, it looks like everyone is in there at one time.

So, if I want to be in the third row, how do I make sure I get into it? When the doors open, do people just go in and grab any seat, in any row? Or, do you line up outside first, so you know which row you will be in? That third row, closest to the doors, is the one that goes up the least in height?

The cast members tell you what gate you will be going to. They also line you up and it just depends where in the line you are whether you are in row 1,2,3. You could always ask a CM if you could wait to be in row 1. Don't know if they are doing that since it has been so busy.

I have ridden firmly in row 3 100+ times. A few times in DL it meant tht I had to wait until the next boarding.

Last week ppl were laughing at me (good naturedly) that it was sooooo easy for me to get row 3.

Now, if you are asking for row 1, that may be tougher, since it's the 'scariest'.

I just re-read your post. If you are scared and want row 3 to be low down, I don't think that it will be a big deal. It's like asking not to be in row 1 on Splash Mountain.

Just understand that you may be asked to wait until the next group loads in order to get that request.
