I currently have my FP scheduled for spaceship earth at 10, Test Track at 11 and maelstrom at 12. The plan is to Rope drop soarin then go to Nemo.
Then do 10am FP at Spaceship, then Mission space, then 11 am test track. Then head to world showcase and do mexico ride and them 12 maelstrom.

My question is I see so many people say to FP soarin and do Test Track at Rope Drop. Is there a reason I should move mine around this seemed like the easier walking plan for us but I am willing to change if there is a good point I am missing. We missed Test Track our last trip it was down for rain so that was my other reason for FP it thought if it went down I could get a FP for later for it so we can FOR SURE ride it.

We are going to Epcot next week. I FP Soarin and plan on RD Test Track. I did this mainly for the reason that Test Track has a much more interesting waiting area than Soarin. Another reason I did this is I love Soarin and definitely do not want to miss that ride. I really like Test Track but if I don't make it on there for this trip I am ok with it.

Exactly what I'm doing and why :)

I always RD Soarin' because I can use Single Rider at Test Track, so for me, there is no need to FP TT at all. You should be fine going to Soarin' at RD, but try to be in the front of the pack at the gate. If you're in the first couple of batches of riders, it shouldn't take that long.

I usually RD and FP Soarin so that I can ride twice - and I do single rider for TT.
WIll your son be 7 in time for the trip? If so you can do single rider at TT as well...
If i couldn't do single rider, then I would FP TT and do Soarin at RD, but I would make sure I was right at the mickey reader for RD. That means getting to the tapstiles by 8:00 or 8:15 depending on the day...

We did the opposite. We did Soarin at RD and FP'd Test Track. We did this simply because we could then either ride Soarin again right away or take care of Living with the Land since it's in the same pavilion. Killing 2 "tier 1" attractions even though Living with the Land never has a horrible line.

We were just there this week and it seems each time we are at Epcot it rains and never seems to stop for hours ( afternoon). TT is shut down. Meaning Soarin then has insane wait times.

Therefore, FP soarin as this ride is not affected by weather and is. back up if TT is shut down. If weather is good RD TT.
FP worked great in that our TT was re-issued for anttime due to being shut down. But if it rains, the FP for TT is worth NADA!!!

Awesome advice...never quite thought about it this way!!!! I planned on doing it this way anyway cause my mom can ride Soarin but can't ride TT so wanted to go with the ride we definitely wanted to do. So we are going to try to RD TT and if not will do single rider if my sons feels comfortable enough doing that. He will be 8.5 so we will see.

This is also a point in favor of TT at RD. TT is usually working fine in the morning.

Does Soarin' have interactive elements in the queue?

Did TT's queue change with the refurb?

Did TT's queue change with the refurb?

TT's queue along with most of the inside ride has changed. In the queue you are able to build your own car. Two people are at each computer and design a car. As you design your car you will see what % your car will be during the "test track". As you go through the course all of the cars made by people in the ride car are graded as to who came in 1st etc for each aspect of the testing. Once the ride is over the car that did the best is in 1st place.

Since I always do Soarin at rope drop or FP I never see what is in the queue. I believe there is nothing to do.
