Soarin' to close much of 2016

Just saw that Soarin' is scheduled to close on 1/4/2016 for upgrades and is not expected to open until summer. Super bummed as that was one I was looking forward to riding (have never rode it before).

Ok, I had received a recent insider report on this refurbishment prior to this announcement. Here WAS the deal from my understanding of the Soarin' renovation that was SUPPOSED to happen. They will be adding a new theater with upgraded digital technology to the projection screen. Yet, we would probably not see an impact on the crowds initially. Let me explain: Once the new theater is opened, they will begin closing another theater. Once that one is complete, they will renovate the other theater. Then they will repeat the upgrade on the final theater and keep the others running. Why this announcement was made about closing the entire attraction for refurbishment baffles me. Anyone with inside information, please comment
