I was under the impresssion that this and MGM"S Stunt show, MK'S Cinderellabration were on loan until the end of the Happist Celebration on Earth, which runs until the end of 2006. Back in May a CM at Soraing told me that it was staying. Does anyone know for sure? :confused3

Thanks!

Yes, Soarin' is staying.
I have heard that they may change the video from Cali to include the entire US in the EPCOT version.

This has become a farvorite of my family. We use to love mission space but last time on we didn't care for the headache or the pressure in our chest during the trip. We sat back and did everything just like we did in the last 5 times riding it but not anymore.

We love to ride Soarin and will be taking two new people to ride with us in Dec. Glad it is staying!!!!! :cheer2:

They built a very large building for Soarin - removing part of The Land in the process - I hear they may add more.

They removed a large section of the backlot, moved a canal, built a 5000 seat auditorium and tore down the theater that Aladdin was in to make Lights! Motor! Action! in MGM.

I don't think that these are going anywhere soon.

Cinderellabration could change with no problems or cost.

Happiest Celebration ends on 9/31/06. Cinderellabration will end at that time as well. Soarin' is staying for good and will be modified within a year to include all the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info everyone. For some reason I thought that the celebration was ending at the end of 2006. I kow that other celebration lasted about 18 months. I know that the Disney World 25th year lasted that long. I thought the Mickey'd 75 BD did too. Doesn't really matter as long as it is staying.

I know that the rest of the gand will want to see the stunt show at MGM too.

That was a rumor during the construction of Soarin', but they went with the original California film.

There have also been rumors for nearly 7 years that Star Tours may add a new film based on the prequel trilogy. That also never happened.

Personally, I seriously doubt that the Soarin' film will change, certainly not while it's the most popular ride in Epcot.

Thank goodness for that, I thought the previous show the birthday surprise (?) was a lot better

It was. Cinderella's Surprise Celabration was much, much better. If they do add an America film to Soarin' they will wait about a year to start making it probably, because when you think about it, they have to change the whole ride itself, like the orange scents, when shake you during the fireworks, they wouldn't close it for rehab right in its peak. In about a year, everyone who really wanted to see will have seen it, so it will slow down a bit, then some people who are returning to ride it again, so it might be a good 18 months before they change it, if they do.

Well, that's just goofy! Happiest Celebration ends on 9/30/06, of course! :)

Soarin is definintly staying. The buiilding alone not to mention the concourse to the building probably cost many millions of dollars to build. Its worth every penny too. We love it..smjj

Does that mean the castle will finally be back to normal?!!?

Yeah, Cinderellabration is the only one going. Good Riddance, Cinderella's Surprise Celebration was a lot better anyway. This one didn't have a story. I heard that EPCOT was going to be Soarin' over the US. I sure hope so...that will be great.

I kinda like the castle with the gold ~ must say much nicer than the birthday cake.

I have grown to love the castle the way it is now and I know I'm really going to miss it when they take all that stuff down.

I also love the gold filagree and such on the castle. I could live without the mirror, but I like the trim.

And yes, I thought the Pepto Castle was the most sickening sight ever at WDW.

Soarin is our new favorite ride!! It would be nice if they changed the video, smells, etc. every couple of years though.
