soarin open early?

In the past when DCA had a 10:00 opening, I know they sometimes used to open the gates at 9:30 and you could ride Soarin'. With the addition of CarsLand, I know they are sometimes opening the gates early so you can get in the RSR FP line. If they open the gates early and one member of our group gets in the FP line, is there something else open for the rest of our group to ride before official park opening, like Soarin? We are not staying on-site, so we are not eligible for Early Entry.

They hold people on Buena Vista street, so you cannot go to Soarin early to ride or to obtain FastPasses anymore.

Can you not go in the GCH entrance and get to soarin that way for early entry, or is early entry only at the main gate?
