Ive read many threads about how long the wait has been for Soarin. I am going in 2 weeks and I was wondering if due to the timing of my trip if Soarin is still going to be the long wait as Ive read it is. I was in WDW in Jan of 04 and there were not too many people there. Is everyone going to flock to Soarin?

We did soarin' on this trip. By 4 pm all Fast passes had been given out for the day. The wait time was posted as 55 minutes. At the start of the EMH, the wait time was listed as 50 minutes. We went back at 11:30 pm-wait time said 30 minutes, but we waited alot less than that. I would think your best bet would be to go early in the am and get a fast pass, or try to do the later EMH.

I was wondering if FP was really necessary, I guess so. TY!

On Monday, December 12 first thing in the morning we pretty much walked right on (ok maybe a 5 min wait) by mid afternoon the wait was greater than 90 minutes.

I was there just before xmas and noticed the following...

1) if you go first thing, this is your best chance to get on.

2) Most of the day the wait times were at least 80 mins

3) Fastpasses were gone by mid afternoon, but if you got one it was about 15 mins wait time.

Hope this helps

We've seen Soarin a few different times, and I agree that the best way is first thing in the morning. We practically walked right on when we were there by say 10 AM, and if we got a fast pass the times were close enough that we could see Circle of Life movie, ride on the Land and then see Soarin.

Soarin is still a very popular ride so expect to see lines no matter when you go. I agree about heading there first thing and grab a Fastpass. If you get the chance ride it then also.

See thats the thing. I would LOVE to run there and get a FP or get right on but the day I have planned to go to Epcot DH and I are going to do the Segway Tour so I wont be able to just book it to Soarin. UNLESS during the tour I can grab a FP :teeth:

I was suprised by the lines for Soarin in early Dec. It was the only ride with long waits all day (average 70 minutes). We rode it once when the park opened and three other times with fast pass (on seperate days).

Ask a CM for row 1. It's a better experience than row 2. Row 3 is not so good because you see people's feet at the top and the black of the bottom of the screen on bottom.

Remember also that Test Track is closed for refurbishment. This will make lines for Soarin' longer as well.

i'll be there in 2 weeks also ....we're not going to epcot until 2:30 p.m. & we're just going to hope for fastpasses to be left. we went at 2:30 p.m. in nov (which i think is more crowded than jan) & the fastpass return was around 6 p.m. so i'm hopeful. the only thing i'm really concerned about it is that since Test Track will be closed, that may mean more people on Soarin or more of a crowd earlier on in the day to grab all of the fastpasses.

We have the same issue with the Segway Tour. I'm hoping that right after our Segway tour we can get a fastpass. By the time we do other things in the building it will then be our fastpass time.

Five days before Christmas, the wait for Soarin' in the afternoon was 200 minutes, thats over 3 hours, for a less than 10 minute ride. I loved it, but that's more time than it took me to have my last baby! :rotfl:

Anyway, I think if TT is closed when you are there, get a Fast Pass as soon as you can. They do give them out quickly, and you might not get on until later in the afternoon, or near closing.
