We have a TT FP for 9:30-10:30. We are visiting 12/19, Touring Plans has Epcot at a 9. How long should we expect the wait to be going straight to Soarin? and do you think we have time to make it to TT by 10:30?

thanks

A. How long should we expect the wait to be going straight to Soarin?

B. and do you think we have time to make it to TT by 10:30?

thanks

A. 10-40 minutes.
B. Yes.

Yes you have plenty of time to make it to tt. How long you wait in soarin greatly depends on how early you arrive to the front gates and how swiftly you power walk. :rotfl2:

Normally, I do TT at RD but didn't want to chance that we didn't make it in time. My fam would much rather ride TT. I doubt they will want to wait more than 20 min for Soarin so hoping for the best. We can power walk!

Just did the exact same thing this past week (as well as last trip). Was at the rope heading towards The Land Pavillion about 8:45. They dropped the rope a couple minutes early - did a moderate walk to Soarin and on and off the ride in under 30 minutes. You'll be on the beginning end of the Xmas week so I'd expect you'd be in more crowds than us but you'll still be fine if you're there for the drop. I'd advise getting there early so you can get be through the turnstyles and make it to the rope by 8:45 or so.

What Robo and DavidNYC said.... and I further encourage you to get to the gate no later than 8:15 so that you can get closer to the front of the pack. Maybe a bit earlier for the holiday crowds and bag check.

At rope drop they are now holding guests back in the park before getting to the Lands Pavilion. I was in Epcot the past 2 weeks and they are opening the front gate at approx 8:40 am and then holding the 2 streams (1 for Soarin' and 1 for Test Track) inside Future World with ropes before they get to the attractions. If turning R for Soarin', you will be held at the Innoventions West breezeway (before the dedicated Character Spot). At exactly 9am, they drop the interior ropes and it is a quick walk through the breezeway and into the Lands Pavilion. Beware the running of the bulls driving down the stairs to Soarin'. I try to get myself to the side of the staircase so I can hold on the railing in case of a domino fall from behind. Not trying to exaggerate here, as some mornings were better than others, but it is a bottleneck at the top of the stairs. The CMs are long gone by this point and they get out of the path of the crowd by the time the wave hits the front doors of the Pavilion.

The PPs' above advice is still very sound. If you get in line at the front gate no later than 8:15 you will then be in good position for the further rope hold and then on to Soarin' in the first wave.
