Soarin-4 hour wait today!

When Soarin was posted as a 4 hr wait I went online to see if I could get a FP and I was. Granted it was for 9:10 p.m but it beats waiting in line for 4 hours. Same thing for Thanksgiving day. The wait was 2.5 hrs I was able to get a FP that was use able within 20 minutes of getting it! Why people are you waiting I don't get it

I usually refuse to wait any more than an hour and a half/two hours, but I did wait 3 hours for Toy Story Mania once when I was traveling with a friend who had never been to Disney before and REALLY wanted to ride it. It was pretty brutal though!

please post the picture of the line for the nemo ride extending to innoventions that I have seen on this forum before. It always makes me not want to book a trip during busy times

Shhhhhh! We dont want them all to figure it out:).

When I saw that posted wait time last night, my dh said it probably isn't that accurate, sure I said, it could be... an hour off.....and still be a 3 hour wait......no thanks!

On the 30th, we used a FP for Figment, and the stand by line was. 35 minutes!

Yea yesterday (31st) as we were walking to the bathrooms to the right of Figment, it had a wait of 50 minutes. The line was out the door and zig zagging through the rope they had set up outside.

I always have fun going into the Disney app on NYE and looking at wait times. Imagination and Land amuse me as my last l few times on them we were the only family in our boat/car. If I ever do NYE it will be with the expectation of 3 FP rides / maybe a few lower tier rides early and late and that's it!

I guess if this is a once in a life trip as it may be for many I get the willingness to wait. But I'd be curious to hear from any regular visitors who wait that long and ask why??????!!!

Never been there at peak time but seen this so many times for the big rides with many return times before the expected standby wait.

We waited 2 hours for Anna and Elsa back when they were in Epcot and "conveniently" opening at 11 am.....willing to do that for a meet/ greet (if necessary) but not for a ride.

Just totally out of curiosity--why for a M&G but not for a ride? Personally, I won't wait 2 hours for anything! But I'm curious about the distinction.

And 50 minutes for Living with the Land???? I've never even SEEN a line for that ride! We go end of August when things aren't that busy and that ride is always a walk-on. People really wait 50 minutes for THAT?

I think that is the key. We had a BLAST on a spontaneous trip for NYE. but we went for the crowds, the fireworks, and the experience. We rode what we could, enjoyed the entertainment, and food. I would never get in a 4 hour line, for us the usual plan of riding early still worked! And yes, the NYE fireworks were TOTALLY worth the crowd!

If the weather sucks, or if folks are just killing time before their Soarin' FP, that line can grow pretty quickly.
