Soap Stars Resort

For the first time we will actually be in WDW during the SSW.

Does anyone know where the stars stay?

Where have you seen them?

I read a post that someone saw Kelly Rippa at the GF once.I would guess that most of them stay at the GF since it is the most upscale. I personally have only seen one "star" and that was Mary Lou Retton at CSR. She was there with the Childrens Miracle Network Convention and I saw her by the pool with her kids. I didn't want to bother her so I didn't speak or ask for an autograph.

I would assume that they are staying at GF but then again one never knows. This is the first time I'll be there for the soap event and I am looking foward to it, between that, FWF and the craft displays down town disney this is going to be a great trip

When we were there over Easter, there was a star staying in the big suite at the YC. Right now the name escapes me, but I remember thinking at the time -- cool!

When I was at SSW in 1999 most of them stayed at the Boardwald Villas. A couple of us went to the Boardwalk one night and were sitting there and Marcy Walker, Nancy Lee Grahn and one of the guys from General Hospital walked past us in the lobby. I also heard that last year some of them stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Mostly at the deluxe resorts by Epcot/MGM, but some of them do stay at the Grand Floridian.

When we stayed at the Yacht Club in 2002 we had Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna on the Conceirge Level and we saw someone from Port Charles in the Lobby. The Soap Network People were also at the YC. Last year we saw Courtney from GH at the Poly.

I guess you just never know who you will see and where.

Last year my college roommate was there at the same time & saw several soap stars @ the YC/BC. Rick Hearst from GH was her dance partner in high school, so she got a kick out of catching up with him!

Well maybe we'll run into one or two at the BC-C.

I think in 2002? Eddie Murphy and entourage stayed in the big suite at BC-C just down the hall from us.

We've gotten to know the bartender at the AKL pool. Her name is Kathy. She said most of the soap stars stayed at the AKL last year. A few stay else where, but it seems that the majority stay at the same resort, which could be different each year.
When we were there in June, she said two weeks prior to us getting there, "Sonny" from GH was there with his family. She said he sat around by the pool just like anyone else. Noone really bothered him. So you never know where you will see them or when.

I don't know if I could pick him (Sonny) out of a crowd though.

I don't plan on disturbing their vacation...just my sister by telling her who she missed seeing
