Soap Sta weekend?

Our last Sat at disney is Sopa star weekend. We were going to do MGM that day-- young kids, mostly mermaid, playhouse disney, millinonair, etc--Is this a bad idea now? What other options should we look at since epcot has food and wine (last weekend) and MK is crowded on Sat. Help!

We were at MGM over Super Soap Weekend two years ago (we didn't know it was going on until we got there). We also had young kids. The morning wasn't too bad, but around noon it was starting to get pretty crowded. We left after lunch and we could barely get through with the stroller down the main street to the gate. I think most of the main activities started in the late morning/early afternoon but I'm not positive. I don't know if things cleared out later in the day, we didn't come back because DD wasn't feeling well.
