We had Mickey soap at the AKL last Sept.

All resorts except the Grand Floridian have the Mickey soaps (the GF has a more "upscale" line, they are in different containers that have the resort logo on them). However, the All-Stars and some moderate resorts only give you facial soap (I think that is the only Mickey item) because there are despensers in the tub that have body wash and shampoo.

Last May 2001 and just this past February 2002, Caribbean Beach Resort (one of the moderates) had the Mickey facial soap, the body soap, and the combination shampoo/conditioner in individual packages... very cute!

We've stayed at PO-R twice in the past couple years and one room had the dispenser in the tub and the other didn't. When we got the one with the dispenser, we called housekeeping and asked for a supply of "real" soap and got a whole bag full of Mickey soap and shampoo. We're a family of 5 and have found that housekeeping is VERY generous with the soap and shampoo, often leaving as many as three bottles of shampoo a day. If you want to take some home, just pack some of it each day. (Am I going to get flamed for suggesting such a thing?)

We were at POR in Jan/FEb.....we got the Mickey soaps and shampoo everyday.
I save them and send them to Dotti's kids.
Everyday more were left....some days several of each.
And because I was saving the coasters (for DH work place), housekeeping left several large piles of them several times.
They are very generous......plus cute towel displays.
I think we had a "competition" going between housekeeping with the towels and DH with oragami dollar bills ;-)

The coasters I mentioned are stiff paper ones that are placed under the glasses in the rooms.....they have the same Mickey on them as a the soap boxes do.

We were at CBR this past December and both the soap and shampoo were in the rooms in individual containers. When we moved on to stay at AKL we were treated to body lotion as well - smelt a bit like almonds!
