Soaked on FEA and Pirates, not on Splash!

Yes, you read that correctly. During our very recent trip we sat in the front of the boat for FEA and the second to the last row for Pirates. We got drenched!! The seat was wet on FEA when we got on and we were the only ones to walk out literally dripping, wet to the skin under our jeans. Pirates seat was dry but the cannon ball splash was enormous and we walked off soaked as well. Splash, thankfully, left us dry! Crazy!

The drop on pirates seems to be fixed, but the cannon splashes are not synced to where the boats are, so it's just luck of the draw. More times than not though you won't get hit much from them.

We rode twice the past couple days and didn't get a drip. And for FEA we rode it one time and didn't get wet or see anyone wet.

We got pretty drenched on FEA too, but we were the only people on our boat to get wet. Luck of the draw, it seems!

I got wet on FEA but not too bad. I was solo and they put me in the front row so I schooched to the middle of the boat. I'm sure if I was on one end I'd have gotten wet.

I've still seen alot of people getting wet on Pirates. I usually ask for the back row now because I'm tired of getting wet but I love the ride.

I've gotten soaked twice on what was then Maelstrom.
Both times I was sitting in the front row on the right.
Haven't gotten soaked on POTC but there was standing water in the boat.
I always get soaked on Splash Mountain so I wear a poncho.

Wet is no big deal to me but I recall a time when DDs would get really bent out of shape if some drops got on them. I now have two DGDs who would probably demand a change of clothing if they got a little bit wet. Note to self to pack change of clothes in the park bag next trip.

That is where I was-starboard fore. I got the worst of it although my daughter got pretty wet too. I will avoid the front row in future.

We also new request the back of the boat on Pirates. Still get a few drops from the cannon splashes.

Where does one get wet on Frozen? On my recent trip, I sent my wife a text saying "just got soaked on Frozen", but I can't recall where it happened. And I don't recall ever getting more than a couple drops on Maelstrom.

The small drop just before the end has always been pretty tame.

At the end. We were surprised too as we had ridden Maelstrom many times in the past and it never happened before. Particularly annoying for me as I was wearing a silk top and brand new tan suede sandals which both ended up with water spots. Serves me right for getting too dressed up (although I did have jeans on) but we had dinner at Yachtsman that night and did not want to go back to AKL to change.

The drop is tame but depending on the weight of the boat it can send a wave of water right in and it did twice for me.
I saw it coming and could do nothing about it.

My DD is so excited to ride Frozen on our next trip but will not be happy if she gets wet! Where is the best spot to sit on the boat to stay dry? Should we avoid the front row?

This is so funny to me because my whole family was waiting to get wet the only time we ever rode Maelstrom and it never happened.

We rode FEA in Dec, not a drop, fill boat.
Rode FEA this week and got agood splash, 2 rows of 2,middle of noat, seats were very wet as wad floor when we got in and got out. Not happy.Not Splash wey, but wet bottoms and spray on clothes, damp shoes and tops. Could not pot bags on floor.

Last trip I got drenched on POTC, first time that ever happened and it was on the drop. My mother, nephew and I were in the front row and I was able to ring out my pants when I got off...my mother and I also exclaimed some loud words we shouldn't have when the surge splashed over the edge of the boat...sorry little ones, we clearly weren't prepared for this new "wet ride"
