So your Short a few people for a Magical Gathering...

After looking at the offerings for magical gatherings including fireworks cruises and dining options, I really think it would be the way to go..... If only my group was a few people larger. Has anyone randomly hooked up with people from a discussion board such as this before to share parts of their vacation together and take advantage of this offer? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Well, that's sorta kinda what Project X tried to do (after we couldn't get enough for one of the private events).

Things learned:

Book early - events fill fast.
Easiest if all of your party is booked the same way - there are 3 ways to book - direct with CRO, DVC and travel agent. Grand Gatherings isn't really set up it seems to effeciently handle people from more than one source in the same gathering. Note if you use a TA, they will be the ones who need to call for you.

what kind of extra's do you get to do for Grand gatherings that you can't do for a msaller family? I would be interested since we have 11 people going. Thanks!

It's a good amount of smaller things that may help elevate some of the pressure of planning for a large group. It's help with PS.... er.... Advance reservations now. It's special one on one time with characters. and it's just that little extra touch that brings a smile to your face..... I must sound like a vacation planning video! Long story short, follow the link and check into it.
