So you want to ride Soarin well...

"I wasn't planning to go over that way until our lunch ressie at Le Cellier at noon time. Would there be fastpasses left by then?" (I forgot to hit the "quote button" so I just copied and pasted.)

We got there in the early afternoon and the FP'es were long gone. You might want to stop there first thing and then continue on, hopefully the FP will be just before or after your ADR.

We just got back today, and there was the rope-drop-dash for Soarin. At 11:00 the FP's were gone. That was a holiday week, so maybe it's a bit better. My best Soarin tip is to go the morning after Epcot has late Extra Magic Hours (Thurs). During the summer we went on Fri. morning and were able to grab FP's then get in the stand-by line.

We just got back and were at Epcot at ropedrop Thursday. Mobs of people dashed towards it. DH grabbed the fastpasses, then we rode in standby with about a 10-15 min wait. Came back later and walked on with the fastpasses. Glad we rode twice as I LOVED this ride! Did not notice certain things (smells) the first time. :)

I have to agree that it's your best bet to visit Soarin' first thing in the morning. Like other posters we got fast pass got in line and rode it and then were able to go do some other attractions and come back and ride it again with a minimal wait :goodvibes

I've been to Epcot at least 15 times since Soarin opened. It is always the most crowded attraction. Even in the slow periods, there is usually a wait of at least 40 minutes for standby. Fastpasses go quickly. During one of the slowest periods this year, I picked up a fastpass at around noon. It was for 8:30pm. I'm afraid this will continue for some time.

We just got back from WDW. We were there Nov 20-25. We were at Epcot twice during the week and both days all fast passes were gone by 12:00 noon. The average standby line was about 90 to 100 minutes. On Wednesday my son was flying in getting to the parks at around 12:00. We wanted him to ride it so we waited for the Fast Pass clock to move forward so we could get one for the 1:00 to 2:00 window. I only had to wait about 25 minutes for the clock to move two hours. Thats how fast the fast passes were going. I highly recommend anyone going at Christmas to get their FP's first thing in the morning and plan around that if you want to ride it. On Friday our last day we decided to do the ride in the standby line as we had missed all the FP's. It took 1 hour and 55 minutes from getting in line to walking out the exit. We always pick our favorite ride to do one last time before we leave each year and this year it was Soarin.

I think my plan is going to be to make dh run over and get the FP and then we will go back, the kids and I cannot RUN but dh can! Thanks for the heads up on this or we would have missed it.

Been reading the various threads on Soarin' and, while the UG has been good to me in the past, I'm really beginning to wonder about the EPCOT sequencing. They have Test Track, then Mission Space THEN Soarin'. I know TT has been a problem and it is right next to Mission Space but UG never has been bothered before about zig-zagging. And, I'd be willing to Fastpass Soarin' but based on what I'm reading I've got serious doubts about getting a time shy of sunset (I've got places to go and things to do) even if I do get to Soarin by say 10a........

They will take fastpasses after your window is up. No need to wait! :) We were stuck on TT when our time for soarin came up, no problem using them later. You just can't go before your window. We were late for lots of FP windows during this trip and it was never an issue.

how funny..I was in that same Wednesday "marathon" to Soarin. I bet I was right there with you. It was a terrific ride and well worth the rush to get there. After we were one of the first ones to ride, we headed over to Mission Space and basically walked on...good thing since I didn't have time to get wigged out over it. It was a great ride even though I thought I might get dizzy. I just took deep breaths before and during and I was fine...think of it Mad Hatter's Tea party with a video :) (actually I became more queezy after teacups)

We were there the Friday before the Thanksgiving week (11/18). We arrived at Epcot at 3:30 pm and were able to get fast passes for 4:30 pm. I believe the stand-by wait was posted at 30 min.
