We're in the mid 70's today. Aside from taking down the decorations, I need to plant more lettuce in the garden and clean the house.

I'm still hoping to see if I can get into the city to see the Mural Hall; but sadly, I don't think I'll be able to make it.

Cleaning needs to be done and DH and I share the duties. I do the kitchen, bathrooms and dusting. He does the vacuuming and mopping. Works out much quicker than if one person does it all.

I just took the last of the rent checks to the bank. Picking up medicine, and then the little girl cat. We're having Prime Rib for dinner in honor of the new kids. We'll see if they like it!

Just caught up on your PTR with mini TR's PIO...

LOVE the Galahs
I adore those birds really I do...but there was once we were in the Avoca area (which is a summer beach destination) and were planning to stay at a 'retreat' type place a bit back from the beach.

One step on the balcony and ALL THE TREES AROUND and we were out of there...




Ended up at a lovely little place near the beach.

It's bad enough the places in Australia don't have block out blinds (or some ski lodges ) but the birds...oh I don't like morning birds.

There is only one bird type which because I grew up with it nearby I'm not always woken by and that is the Rainbow lorikeet.

Our backyard has less trees than when I was a kid, but still has enough to be a play ground for them. But the bedrooms are on the other side of the house...so just the traffic noise there



OK...


So now I'm way behind. Family are on leg one of the trip home and the lounge room still resembles a bit of a bomb site. Need to track down the hangers for the clothes and SPACE for the folded thermals et al (where the !#$#@$%#$ did they come out of for the trip)

And find a home for all the knick knacks you have for your carry on that is easy to keep them together as I do ever so hope to be travelling....somewhere in particular....soon....

Off to try and sort I go...

Looking at the schedules and due dates I THINK I know where I can place it. But in the time I've been away the consultants et al could easily has stuffed things up.



So I'm just on a waiting game....to see what the score is...


Oh and yeah. I'm clearing MY stuff for THEIR stuff to go. I know...
But I don't need a whine to start the arrival...
My main concern is getting DBF's souvenirs/gifts all together and the souvenirs for friends safe and sound.
