I wish it was Saturday already so we can head to the coast for a weekend getaway. Even with staying late every night this week it looks like I'll be taking some work with me. This weekend is for DH since our upcoming cruise has so many people with us.

That sounds nice but I hope you don't have to take work with you.

I did get to set up my new desk though so it's good that's moved and set up.

Just need to pick something up on the way home. Finish packing. Then sleeeep

I'd like to upgrade to a Canon 7D body. DS already has a point and shoot with more megapixel and video capability than the old 7 year old one DH and I used to share. And aside from age, that 7 year old still takes good daytime shots...so I wouldn't just toss it just because "I want".

I had to get certified at work today and I passed, so I'll be able to start work on Monday. My schedule's slightly crazy next week. I also was told that my trainers think I'm likely to be one of the first from this training class to "move up". So we'll see how that goes.

Congratulations! That's a nice number of hours to begin with, even if it is night shift your time.

I'll be getting away too. Just for a little while at my friends ranch, then a nephews birthday party. Probably come back on Saturday night.

Our first is from 2003 and other family members like that it had a viewfinder. But i don't use it. And night is hopeless.

Princess - I'd like to buy a big new Canon body like what you are considering too! I want the pixels and the expanded capability but the new mirrorless cameras are so interesting. If they weren't outrageously expensive I would like to get one.

I've been racking my brain trying ti remember what was in Franandaj's post that would have gotten bleeped. I read it & don't remember anything jumping out as bad.

DH has been working lots of long days the last 2 months due to a big project. Means he's been tired & a little cranky & tense around here. But he surprized me & is taking off this afternoon to spend some relaxing time with me. Plans are for a late lunch at Cheesecake Factory & a movie today; Home & Garden show & hockey game tommarow.

DH has been making noises about wanting the T2i body back. He's trying to see if I would bite with the bribe of thd 7D. He wondered if I would like it for my birthday in May. I'm still considering it....It'll depend on the finances at that point. Been expensive around here lately.

So much for an early night and good night's sleep!

My normally quiet cat woke me up at 4 am last night. This is Mixie (not Moses, the Fat Cat). Mixie and I normally share some quality gal time together when I brush her. She really enjoys the brushing and usually comes to look for me at least once a day.
I've been busy lately and haven't been able to give her any quality time for the last 3 days. Last night, she woke me up at 4 am and most insistently pawed and clawed me until I gave her a brush. And then she came into the bed to cuddle with me....incredibly rare that she cuddles up to me....and then wouldn't leave me alone at all. Guess she's been missing girl time,

I tried to get back to sleep but couldn't. Really tired right now and needing a large coffee.
