We may end moving 4 times in 8 days:rotfl: .

Well...after much worry and consternation we decided the most economical way to book our trip was 8 nights at OKW in a 2br...Sun-Thur on points, Fri and Sat with an AP rate, and Sunday on points again. That in itself leaves us with the possibility of moving twice...but it gets worse:

They didn't have 5 consecutive nights available in the same 2br category (near HH, and not near HH) so this is my current itenerary:

8/24-8/27 2br near the HH
8/27-8/28 2br
8/28-8/29 2 br near the HH
8/29-8/31 AP rate 2br
8/31-9/1 2br near the HH

So currently we are waitlisted for the night of the 27th so we can at least be guaranteed the same room for 5 nights.

Has anyone else ever had such a strange ressie? Did you have to move several times?

TIA for any wisdom or advice you can provide:goodvibes .

Our recent trip was this:
three nights BCV
two nights BWV
two nights VB
five nights SSR

Not fun, sorry to say. Originally we were to be five nights Vero, then five nights BCV but school was extended by nine days forcing me to change our vacation dates. At less than sixty days out, I took what was available and waitlisted. Waitlists never came through so I called at seven days out to see what inventory CRO had returned. They had one of the BCV nights I was looking for, but the CM talked me out of doing it, saying that there was a chance in the couple minutes it took to cancel the BWV room and book the BCV room both could be snatched up since there were 200 on the waitlist for the BCV room and almost as many for the BWV room! EEK!!

My tip is to pack light and live out of the suitcase! I arranged our suitcase so that each person had one quarter for their items, layered with outfits together so you didn't have to rifle through and make it a mess.
My mom, who was at BWV for their entire trip, thought she was being helpful once we had moved over for our two nights there and unpacked all our clothing and put it away in the drawers. I wanted to pull my hair out. Instead I thanked her and once she left I re-stacked and re-packed the suitcase.
Toiletries? I packed into a hanging travel bag so we could hang it on the bathroom door and items could be found and put up easily, then the whole thing could just be zipped up for the next move.

Our big mistake was in buying groceries for the room. It was a pain packing up food!
If we ever did this again, I would probably still get drinks and a few snacky type things, but wouldn't buy food to make meals.

Oh, keep your swimsuits easily accessible if you plan on swimming. Luckily all our villas were ready at check in time, but we had our swimsuits ready just in case so we could swim while waiting to get into the room.

Good luck with the waitlist!

Thanks so much for the advice.

We are doing the dining plan, so no need for many groceries (well, beer of course:thumbsup2 ). We usually pack pretty lightly and use the washer and dryer so I guess we will be okay if we have to move 4 times:faint: !

In August, we are doing 2 nights at AllStar Sports with 2 connecting rooms followed by 5 nights at SSR in a 2br and then back to ASSports for one last night before leaving. We have decided to just Garden Grocer deliver our food to SSR when we arrive there.

We were at BWV a few weeks ago and had to move from a standard view to a boardwalk view midway through the trip. I have to agree about packing up and moving the food-not fun to have to do on vacation.
