If you're like me and listen to the podcasts weekly, you think of the podcast crew as your friends. These are folks who you let into your life weekly for a dose of Disney fun and humor. You feel you know them. This is why, like me, you likely took the news of Pete's departure like a blow to the solar-plexus. While I fully understand it was a decision he felt he had to make and I wish him all the best, and while I sincerely feel that the podcast has been left in the best of hands, Pete will be sorely missed.

But truth be told that's not what I really wanted to write about. What I really wanted to write about is the DL podcast team. While (I assume) their audience is smaller, I myself have been listening from pretty much the beginning. And if you're like me, again, you feel you know these folks. And you like them. They seem to be such warm, genuine, and simply nice folks. I'm sure several of you have had the chance to meet them in person, but I assume most haven't. So, for those of you who have not met them, and as I have now had the privilege of doing a show with them, I am here to tell you that... you're right. They really are that nice.

I just wanted to express my thanks to Tony, Nancy, Mary Jo and especially Tom. You guys rock!

I just want to let you know that the DL Podcast Team has one more member. His name is Michael. And yes, he is nice also. :)

It's a great day to be alive!!!

How could I have missed Michael! How embarrassing...

I've had the good fortune to meet all the members (yes, Michael too) of the West Coast Podcast team. They really are nice people. Its not just a stage front that you hear on the podcast.

I've not met any of the podcasters from either show (with the exception of meeting Walter at the Dreams office in Port Canaveral in Feb) and I have been listening for many years

I appreciate their efforts. It is something I always look forward to.

(Maybe I will meet some podcasters this coming Feb, as I am considering taking the ABD trip to Cali)

The great thing about the podcast team is that they're exactly the same in person as they are on the show. Which is what everyone would expect, I'm sure -- but it was nice to have that confirmed when I've met the team at various DIS Meets.

Can't wait to see them all again at the next one:thumbsup2

I wish the disunplugged Disneyland team would do video like the disney world team I think its great and I want to see what's going on in the podcast to me its a fabulous thing to have.

Thanks John.

We had a great time having you as a guest on the show this week (shameless plug...John's Guy Trip: Part 1).

Thanks, John. We really enjoyed talking to you, and you have a fascinating story to share. I was telling my son, Nick, about you and Kirk, and your long-term friendship. I can see him doing something similar with his childhood friends in years to come.

I am taller.

Only by a little bit, Kevin. :upsidedow

Thanks Mary Jo! I was admittedly a bit concerned as it's not exactly a "Disney Tale" ;). BTW I have most of my exploits with Kirk documented on my blog (shameless plug - link below)

Thanks, John! Means a lot to us. We all started out here on the DIS, just like everyone else. We can't wait to meet all of the folks going to D23!

As to doing a video show, we have the challenge of all being in different cities. Every once in a while we get together, so don't rule out the possibility!
