of you have HH as your home resort?

I am starting to think that getting points through HH is the one way I might be able to convince DH that DVC is for us.

Also, if you do it that way (home resort is HH), are your points "valuable" enough to have nice vacations on WDW property at the other DVC sites?

HH is a great DVC resort. It is available only thru resale as it is a sold out resort.

If you intend to visit HH in the summer, owning points there will enhance your chances of getting a reservation, since that is the busiest time there. If you are planning to stay mostly onsite at WDW, you can own at HH or VB, but you will have to wait until 7 months to make a reservation. Reservations are certainly available 7 months in advance for many times of the year.

It is usually best to own where you plan to stay the most.

This is 100% true. There are many times of year and many types of units that will be available at seven months. Conversely, there are many types of units and times of year that will be VERY difficult to obtain at seven months.

This is why we generally advise people to buy where they expect to stay most.

If your DH likes to golf, he'll definitely go for HHI! Even if he doesn't, mine (the previously reluctant vacationer) loved HHI and can't wait to go back next spring.
