for a Disney vacation I can be so organized and prepared right down to a list of what in the house needs cleaning before we leave and being packed at least a week or more before we go yet I can't seem to get myself ready for this non-Disney vacation???

We leave for Nova Scotia at midnight tonight and I'm not even packed yet. I have orthodontist with my 8yo at 8:30, have to take our spanish student out to lunch and get him off to his bus to the airport for 12:30 plus pack and clean the house.



Need a good kick to get me going!!

The difference is you're not going to Disney - anything else just doesn't feel like a real vacation. The greater the anticipation, the earlier you are ready.

I know exactly what you are talking about! We were away this past week and when DH was packing the car....he asked what the heck was going on? It was all so disorganized (not usually me, I am a great packer). He actually made that comment that if we were going to Disney, the pack job would have been perfect! LOL!

Well I finally got the car packed and dh commented that it seems like a very disorganized trip too!! Oh well... hopefully we didn't forget too much!

We are spending a few hours in quebec city tomorrow on our way through - then we will stop for the night in Edmundston, NB. Sunday it's on to New Ross, NS. Whale watching from Digby is booked for Tuesday and whatever day we go to Halifax we are visiting a cemetary..... man I have weird kids. Asked them where they wanted to go in halifax and they informed me they wanted to see all the titanic 'stuff' even the graves. Morbid children!

Well off to finish cleaning then to try and get a few hours of sleep! Have a great week everyone!
