So who's watching Brave....

I could easily go thru life without seeing any more TV or film except 007, I can't wait for the next one.

Maybe being Scottish i'm a little biased but i think this is one of Pixars better movies and so looking forward to seeing it on Sky in HD. :thumbsup2

The soundtrack in particular is very well done not something in a movie i usually pay too much attention to.

I watched it yesterday! Have to say I wasn't that impressed to be honest! I thought Tangled was much better! Like others have said - very Brother Bear and I actually prefer that one! It wasn't too bad though and I would with it again! :D

I saw it with the family when it came out in the cinema and wasn't really taken with it to be honest but put down to possibly not being in the mood at the time.
So I watched it with interest on Thursday and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. There were a number of (Scottish) jokes i didn't notice the first time but which left me guffawing loudly on second viewing. Again I put it down to not being in the mood when it was released. I don't think it is among the greatest movies but it is worth it's place for sure. and probably worth a second viewing for those who are underwhelmed. Good to see a Scottish heroine too.

We went to see it at the AMC in DTD last year, think we were the only Scots there cause we laughed when others didn't. When they were chasing the bear in the castle and someone said. "A Kin see ma hoose fae here". We had tears of laughter because it was just so true to what someone would say:rotfl2::rotfl2:. The guy sitting next to me just looked:confused3 at me then said something to the person with him:rotfl2:

I an more excited now, having just discovered all the 'on demand' Disney movies we have got with Sky. Despite the fact that DH has pointed out we have most of them on DVD or Blu Ray :rotfl2:
To me, it more than makes up for having had to put up with the 007 channel for months on end :headache:

DBF said the same to me :rotfl2:

loved Brave! for those with on demand, have just finished watching the documentary "waking sleeping beauty" which gives the inside story on the Disney animation division from 1984 to 1994, definitely worth a watch if you're into the history of the company. very very glad to have this new channel and on demand service :-))

Thanks for the heads up. First time I am see Waking Sleeping Beauty being available in the UK :thumbsup2

EDITED - I must be looking in the wrong place? Could not find it On demand.

I agree, it was very interesting to watch (and strange seeing Tim Burton so young! :rotfl2:)

sorry, not sure how to multi quote on my iPhone but Waking Sleeping Beauty was definitely in the sky on demand service, under Disney. make sure you're pressing yellow I think, to access the whole list and not just the ones it shows in the immediate display

I couldn't find it either when I did a search of the Sky listings but it only shows and searches programs that are on in the next 7 days so I've linked it to my Sky never miss so fingers crossed it will be on again

I found it last night by doing the above. Go to on demand, Disney and press yellow to show the full list of Disney movies/shorts :)

We watched it last summer in Disneys El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. It's a wonderful old fashioned theatre that's well worth a visit if you ever go to LA.

I LOVE Brave, and have been watching it over and over this week! :thumbsup2

But then again, I'm Scottish, so probably biased :goodvibes
The music, the scenery, the language, the jokes... ALL spot on!

I do get ALL the jokes, some of the language might go above the heads of non-Scottish people? I wonder how the Americans took it, some of the Scottish regional accents in the movie aren't the easiest to understand! :goodvibes

Don't watch TV but we saw it at the cinema. Really enjoyed it. :goodvibes

we also saw it at the cinema and LOVED it!!!
i prefer all animated movies in the cinema rather than on tv!!

her hair alone was worth watching it!!!

did anyone see wreck it ralph?
we loved that one too...
we all cried like crazy at the end!!! :goodvibes

US too. DH was asking if they had subtitles when they showed it in the states.

That documentary waking sleeping beauty was fascinating.

Can't believe i missed this in all the times i've watched the film. Watched it again last night and it so cracked me up , best onliner in the film! :rotfl2:

I have not seen it but Matt has, he did a review on his Blog http://mathewgillings.wordpress.com/2013/03/03/wreck-it-ralph/

thanks for the link!
i hadn't even heard of the movie before we all went together (chani and spouse, Gil and spouse, aaron and me)..

i thought i was going to end up sleeping through it, but no, i was wide awake and really loved it...
all of us did! and as i said, the sweet ending had us all crying (except aaron :))...

The Disney Movie channel has been our saving grace this week.

DH & I both booked the week off at the beginning of the year - we knew that with the August holiday we would not have too many pennies to spend this week but had a few plans until.....

Shocking weather (let's face it, it has been dire) :furious:
£500 MOT bill :worried:

So.... Disney Movies it has been! Even though the kids are 15 and 13 we have loved it.

As a treat we are off to see Nemo 3D tomorrow! :woohoo:
