So who's waitlisting for December already

still waiting.......
I've been on the waitlist for a 2bedroom at BCV since 8-9 months out (one of my homes) and I added BWV to the waitlist at 7 months out......(12/3 - 12/8) I've got a 2bedroom at VWL, so I have a place to sleep, but it's oh so far from Jellyrolls!

This is all so frustrating to me. We just bought DVC in December. The guide told us we'd have no problems getting any place we wanted, because December is so slow, for what we want which is a studio or a 1 bedroom. Well, joke's on me, because I believed him. We have a reservation for for the 1-8 at SSR. At the 7 month mark I called to request a room at Beach Club or Boardwalk. Nothing. So, I'm on a waiting list.

Madi... hope your waitlist comes through. Are you waitlisting day by day or for the entire stay. I think you'd have a better chance for a day by day match than an entire stay.

I disagree with the salesperson that early Dec is not popular. It may not be crowded people wise but I think many DVC owners make reservations during this time since it is an economical use of points. GL...

I don't have enough to do day by day, and I don't want to split our stay.

Update news...got a call from MS today on a waitlist for a points ressie for 12/28(I had cash)...and she was asking me about my ressie waitlist. Then she said, so if we call you tomorrow with the waitlist this will be ok with you?. So I thought...gee maybe they do work on the wait list (at holidays) in batches, since so many DVCer's swap homes. Keep your fingers crossed for me...I know they won't call tomorrow, but next week would be great!

WOW...I hope you get your home resort!!! I am perfectly happy with BWV or SSR but I figured, we are in one spot until after Christmas, then maybe we could move over to see the decorations.

I had booked a studio at OKW about 3 weeks ago and I was able to get the 9th and 11th-16th and waitlisted for the 10th. I'm happy to report it came through today!! I have the full week.

After three days we got our two studios at OKW for 11/26 thru 12/1. WE are doing the happy dance not only for our november trip, but we leave this saturdy for 10 days at SSR in a one bedroom. happy days are here again.

Hi all -- we were waitlisted for a studio at BCV for our first night.... originally we did not plan to arrive until the next day, but Delta changed our flights so we decided to go one day early... hate to use up points on a weekend but we decided it would be the easiest way to go. We have a 2 bedroom for the rest of the week but decided to go with a studio just to crash in for the first night (our flight arrives after midnight anyway).
I had put down a cash member discounted ressie for the studio with a waitlist for the same thing and we just got our confirmation in the mail today! tomorrow I will call MS and cancel the cash ressie and we are set!

I am so confused! Here is the deal- I asked for 2 studios at BWV for 12/30 and 12/31. I got an email today and they told me nothing was available anywhere for 12/31 and asked if I want to be waitlisted. Does this mean they went ahead and booked the 2 studios for 12/30 though? When I go on the website it does not show that they did. Does waitlist show on the website too? Help!

Waitlist does not show up on the website, but all ressies should. It's probably best to call MS to make sure that there has been no miscommunication about your wishes. Good luck!

Well...
add me to the list. I just called Member Services and booked the 2 studios for 12/30 Std view. That was all they had left. I am waitlisted for 12/31. Keeping my fingers crossed! Going to Disney on NYE has become a tradition each year and I hope I don't break it. It's the safest place to be in my opinion. PLUS- This will be the first NYE with my new adopted sister! My mom is adopting Jade Nicole from China and we hope to have her here with us by late August/early September! Who would have thought booking in July was too late! LOL
Anyways, please spread the pixie dust for me!
