No not us either! I thought maybe $3500 for two of us would`nt be too bad but the cheapest is $4800 - we`d rather spend that in Florida
$1999 for the repo`s - not bad but I can`t fathom the pricing Seems that price may be for a limited # of cabins in cats 11 & 12. They will sell very quickly then the price will rocket. Ah well.

Theres all the flights, taxes & port charges to go on top as well!!
and there are only 2 cruises plus the return repo cruise that actually sail during school holls, whos betting which will sell out first and be the most expensive
Think i would sooner go to Florida AND cruise the carribean for LESS money

I believe that is one of the main reasons they are doing this, to appeal to their American market

Interesting as I read on the cruise board the Americans saying it must be aimed at the Europe market. Someone even suggested that it will be cheaper for us than going to wdw

Seems to me that Disney does not have much of a market for it at the prices they are charging.

Now that really is funny!! I could get two trips to WDW for the price of this cruise (travelling at the same time as the cruise)

If they have trouble filling up the ships, they'll drop the prices as it gets closer to the cruises.

They do that on their Florida cruises. On our first cruise, we were on the 4th of July cruise less than a year after 9-11. Disney was a known target and the 4th of July was a known target date, so that particular cruise was much less than full very close to the cruise date. So DCL put it on DEEP discount for Florida residents (some obscenely low amount - compared to the obscenely high amount we were paying for cat 3). In any case, they managed to completely fill the ship to capacity. There were so many Floridians on board that every time they asked people "where are you from?" practically everyone seemed to be from Florida.

So I'd keep an eye on it if you're interested in trying the med cruise with DCL, but aren't willing to pay the high prices. If they have openings as the dates approach, they'll offer discounts to fill the ships.

given that the official bookings haven't yet begun (april 4 is the official start) and yet category 3 is already sold out for the entire med season, it would seem that they do indeed have a market out there.

We are doing the 4 night this Oct and then when The Magic is back to USA the 7 night Western in Oct 07. For us part of the magic is to go to orlando and see/ experience the parks as well as the cruise. We want to see the caribean and of course Disneys own private island, Castaway Cay. I dont think that many europenas will be interested in the ports, its very limited IMHO to Italy and Spain. Still if it was cheap enough............. I of course would go !!!! not sure I would fancy 6 dys at sea on the repo though?

there's nothing like being on a ship and watching the endless ocean go by....
i could do that nonstop for 6 days with no problem...
it's kind of zen (though i have no idea what that means)...

but i'm not sure i would want to do it on a DCL ship.....
the last time i crossed the Atlantic was on the Queen Mary (the original)...back in another era (when they still locked the gates between first class and the rest of the untouchables on the ship)....
