So Who's going Pop Warner week??

I have read so much about people going the week after Thanksgiving and I have read numerous posts about people avoiding the "Pop Warner" week. We are planning on being there December 2 to the 11th. So is anyone besides Pop Warner folks and myself going to be there ?

Yup! That's the week my sister and I are thinking of going.

We're not too worried about it.

Dec. 1-9. We've been down with Pop Warner before and we never knew they were there.

Dh has a conference at the swan starting the day after thanksgiving, we might tag along too, during the time frame for the lst week end of dec.

When is Pop Warner Week anyway? Do the cheerleaders always come with them?

Last Dec. I remember WDW closed MGM on Friday night for them. We had to make a bunch of dinig reservation changes.

You'll definitly notice them a lot less if you're at a deluxe or home away from home than if you're at a value or mod. Kind of reminded me of Grad Nights, as far as the difference from normal days. Not all that bad, I'll definitly be avoiding it in the future if at all possible.

We are doing land/sea 12/3 - 12/8 then hit the water. We are staying at the Poly. Can't wait.

Did you have problems in the parks or at the resorts? We're planning on staying at a Deluxe resort to try to avoid any trouble...

Oops, posted before I was done . Re: welovepluto- My stay was split between resorts, and I saw them a *LOT* at PO-FQ, but hardly at all at WL & Poly. I didn't see a lot of big groups at the parks, I think they're mostly at competitions during the day, but not really sure. If I remember correctly, MGM closed early one night for them, and maybe MK?

I have been during that week in 2002 and 2004. Both stays being either all or in part at the all star music resort. I love it in WDW at that time of year and would not hesitate to do it again. I have never found Pop Warner kids a problem either in the parks or at the resort. Alas, I cannot go at that time of year anymore (at least with DF) as he works for the US postal service.

All of you going at that time this year, don't worry, you'll have a great time!

What is Pop Warner week? I just found out our marching band will be at WDW Dec. 6-11, so DH and I are planning to go (NOT as chaperones). I was hoping to try Pop Century this trip, but if it's over-run with noisy kids, maybe we should try a moderate?

We are going Dec 2-10th this year. We were there last year from Dec 2-10 and stayed at the Pop. The only time we ever noticed them was at the pool or in Everything Pop. We did hear a little noise outside but it was nothing that we couldn't live with. Also, I have heard that they also put them in some of the moderates (not sure which ones). Now I did notice them in the parks alot on some days but we never really had any major lines to stand in. Hope this info helps!

i'm going down w/ my boyfriend, my mom, my step father and his family. they are involved with pop waner and are getting such a good deal on it that I couldn't pass it up. From what I've been told we are going the friday after thanksgiving and staying at PO. I really don't know any details, but went down last year week after thanksgiving and stay at POP and everything was quite as a mouse. if i find out anymore useful info i'll post.
