"Janet, if you bring the 401 to Wellington as usual, head for Tiger Jacks. Instead of turning into the restaurant, go to the stoplight that's right there and turn right (Wharncliffe Rd). Follow Wharncliffe along for about 4KM ... after you cross over the river, go through 2 stoplights, and then I think it's the second left (you'll see the brown/yellow signs for the arena)."

I've been told that there is a spray pad at this park for the kids. I can confirm that tonight as my DS is supposed to be going there tonight after school to play.

I just checked the city's web maps, and there is a spray pad at West Lions park, although I can't picture it. There's also a small skateboard park there as well. Alas, it appears we won't be able to make it as DD has been invited to a girls hockey prospects camp in Brampton this weekend and we'll be commuting the other way up the 401 all weekend long. And here I thought hockey season was over. Have fun at the BBQ, everyone.

Hopefully I'm correct on the 4K thing! As you're travelling along Wharncliffe Rd, you'll need to get into the left lane eventually as the right lane exits onto Horton St (which you don't want to do!). At this intersection, you'll go under the train tracks ... the river is right ahead and then you'll do the "two stoplight thing".

We just booked the Grand Californian hotel in Disneyland for 3 nights in July!!! Used our points (129) for a room with a theme park view--cant wait.
