So who ISN'T going to be

DH does not care for it.

It is only the three of us so we are going to be grilling marinaded steak tips for dinner.

I'm not. Kids are going to their SO's families to eat which is fine by me. I hate making turkey. DH and I will have a relaxing day with leftovers on the menu.:goodvibes

Well, as I mentioned on another thread my parents are sick and cancelled on us this morning. They have the turkey. So we took a ham out of the freezer.

I'm not, I'm pulling a John Denver

(you know I'm leaving on a jet plane :cool1: )

Were not... we are having Ham--- family isn't a big turkey group so we all said lets have whatever and that turned into ham...

We decided we didn't want to do the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, so we are going to be eating at Ralph Brennen's Jazz Kitchen. No turkey for us.

No turkey here. Thanksgiving doesn't necessarily happen on the actual day around here.

We had a big Thanksgiving meal with my extended family 2 weeks ago before my parents headed south for the winter. And we are leaving on Saturday to fly to FL for a holiday with ILs where I'm sure a Thanksgiving meal will be waiting for us.

I'm working the actual holiday. And DH and kids plan to stay in PJs all day, have an all-day brunch (breakfast foods for every meal), pack for upcoming trip and set up Christmas decorations.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We're not. We'll be out on a deer lease and I don't have any desire to cook for myself and my DH so we'll probably eat Taco Bell or something to that effect. While I adore my turkey dinner, I don't have the desire to deal with the prep or cleaning involved so we're not cooking this year since none of the kids are with us except the newborn, and I don't think he cares.

We go out on Thanksgiving. I might have fried shrimp! We started this a few years ago when my step-father passed away a few days before Thanksgiving.

Just DH and I, kids have flow the coop. We are on a special diet program. It involves 11 days on and three days off. Day 11 is Friday so we will feast on Saturday. On Saturday we are having turkey mignon wrapped in bacon and some of the traditional holiday sides. In addition to some small tart size pies I picked up at the store dessert is our family favorite cheesecake. I'm making 5 small 5 inch cheesecakes all different flavors. YUM! Worth waiting for.

Happy Thanksgiving all, no matter how you celebrate it. Just be Thankful.

Lucky you. Where you going, if I may ask. :)

Laughlin Nevada one of those charter trips that the casinos offer. I figure three nights hotel, airfare, and partial meals for 150.00 was too good to pass up, for turkey and football.. Besides they have open faced sandwiches with gravy and potatotes to die for in the grill at the hotel....they even sometimes have turkey:lmao:

We probably won't have turkey. We're going out to eat, and will more likely have salmon or prime rib.

No turkey for me. I'm leaving the husband and adult kids behind and meeting my best friend in Las Vegas for 4 days. We'll be eating at the Red Square at Mandalay Bay for Thanksgiving and there's no turkey on that menu. :rotfl:
