So who fills YOUR Christmas stocking?

If DH did not fill mine, the next year I would fill his with everything that I wanted and I'm sure the next year he would remember. :rotfl:

That is really sweet. Sounds like you have great kids, you should be proud :)

That's just the sweetest thing.

Even though dd is 15, I think she still believes a tiny little bit in Santa--I don't think it would ever occur to her to fill my stocking herself. :teeth:

I still have to stocking I used as a kid at home and I hang it up every year with dh's and dd's that I had made to match mine. On Christmas morning my stocking was always the empty one since I filled theirs but a couple years ago dd started putting one or two things in mine and last year she went all out, I had candy, fruit, and gifts in my stocking. Too bad she'll be leaving home before I know it 'cause I know my stocking will probably go back to empty. I can't see my dh getting around to filling it every year. Of course he probably wouldn't care if I didn't fill his either. He's just not big on stocking I guess.

I love Stockings! :)

Mom always does one for everyone and then dh and do one for each other. We exchange these on Christmas eve though ;) There are always some goodies in there ;)

For the past three years we have gone to my sisters house for Christmas. We all go on Christmas Eve and spend the night. Last year we decided to do stockings and we each bought something for each other. They had to be less than $5.

DH and DS fill my stocking. I normally make a list of things I want/need and they put the little stuff in it. I always get candy also. If they didn't fill mine up, I'd fill it up like others do. Good idea! :teeth:

The last time my stocking was hung was when I was really young, to young to remember. But this year, with the Christmas stocking exchange, I am going to recieve TWO stockings. I can't wait to see what is in them.

I fill my mom's, too. I've been doing it since my parents divorced (when I was 16). I'm married now, and my mom still does my stockings (and my husband's!)

I do them all and I always get just what I wanted. I mean....Santa knows just what I wanted. :Pinkbounc

My husband fills mine. It's made for rather unusual things in the stocking over the years. He tries.. LOL!

I'm a lucky girl - in all my 41 years, I have NEVER had a year without a stocking.....my DH does a fabulous job...I am vewy , vewy spoiled......

DH buys for my stocking & puts stuff in it. I usually add to it - Santa brings some of the same stuff to everyone - like our own chocolate orange.

DH fills mine. Even if we decide not to buy anything for one another, he still fills my stocking - and he does a great job, too.

I fill one for DS9. He's the only one who gets a stocking. I used to fill one for DH, but he never put anything in mine so I stopped doing one for him after a few years. DH doesn't even buy me a Christmas gift anymore (or birthday or anniversary). He thinks he's being nice if he remembers to say Merry Christmas.

Well, that's sad, Sandy. I'm sorry to hear that. :grouphug:

You should fill your own stocking and leave his with a lump of coal from Santa.

Thanks. It doesn't really bother me anymore though. I've gotten used to it. At least he's not rubbing off on DS. DS says when he gets married he's always going to buy his wife gifts. I guess he feels bad for me even if I don't let it show.

It's nice to hear that there are husbands out there who do fill their wives stockings. :goodvibes

Actually, I started the whole thread because no one fills my stocking but me! Some guys just aren't so great at buying gifts. DH has never thought that holidays and birthdays are important (well, they're not important to him!) but he knows that they're important to me and I get all excited about them. So he does his best and dd takes him shopping so he has a helper and a big list from me. :teeth:

It sounds like your son needs to take your dh shopping this year. :teeth:
