I was dead tired at 9:30 and went to bed. Woke up at 2:30 am and am wide-awake. I hate it when this happens. I really want some coffee, but will try to go back to sleep I guess....

:surfweb:

I woke myself up at 4:00 am to avoid the stress of my dream. :lmao: I was late to the airport and rushing to catch a flight.

Been up an hour. I hate it as this is a day I could sleep in.

Haven't gone to bed yet... and have grandkids coming over in a few hours:confused3

I am on a horrible cycle right now...insomnia 6 out of the 7 nights in a week. Too much stuff going on and my mind just doesn't turn off.

I think this was my worst night yet at the fire station. Went to bed after the 11 o'clock news and I don't think I feel asleep at all finally decided to get up at 4:30 just so I could stop tossing and turning.

That happens to me all the time. I've heard it's one of the symptoms of menopause. :(

When it happens I usually watch TV for an hour or two.

I couldn't sleep. Tossed and turned all night, and now feel like I'm hungover (without the fun of actually drinking anything)

My kid were sacked out in the family room. I guess I could have went to their bedrooms, but they are disgusting and I would have felt the need to clean if i had.

UGGGG---I hate nights like that

Ditto on the hangover. I'm thinking advil and lots of water.

And I'm with ya on going into DS's' room. I couldn't sleep in there. Ick.

I had a horrible night in bed. I take 1/2 a Tylenol PM and a Meletonin. I read until I fell asleep. I woke up and read again and fell asleep again. Tossed and turned for the rest of the night. Took a nap today but still am tired. I am in menopause and have been for a couple a years. I sweat every night, and need to sleep to do my work during the day. Usually the Tylenol and meletonin work most nights. Tonight it is a full Tylenol and a cup of cocoa. Good night!!

i've NEVER had trouble sleeping before. NEVER
but right now i'm going through something so stressful and draining, yet i can't sleep. :confused3 it's so frustrating. for a little over 1 week i've been lucky to get more than 2-3 hours a night. the first thing i do when i wake up is look at the time to see how long i managed to stay asleep. the shortest was 10 minutes and the longest was 4 hours.........this better not last too long.

it's because it is so stressful and draining...your mind can't turn itself off. Used to be that I had about a month a year where I couldn't sleep (winter season usually) and now with lots and lots (seriously long and very personal stories) going on...it's been a year since I've been able to sleep well for any good period of time.

a YEAR??
i seriously don't think i could take this for so long........dang

YIKES. My insomnia thread has made it back to page 1. Last night I woke up again but managed to get back to sleep within a reasonable time. The house felt hot and I had the feeling that I couldn't breath so had to open windows and turn on fans (it was much warmer than normal here in the northeast).

I get into these cycles every once in awhile. I suspect that I self-perpetuate it because I wake up then start to worry that I won't fall back asleep...then I don't.

Today I made myself get up before 7:00 am, worked outside for 2 hours, cooked Easter dinner, and now I am relaxing and doing laundry. I am hoping to be SO exhausted by tonight that I will sleep straight through.

Slept like my kitty does. Really restful! Got up about 7:00 to a gorgeous sunrise and nice breeze! Had fresh ground coffee. Made Easter dinner, sorted my socks and weeded out the winter clothes. Finishing laundry and dishes done. Relaxing and not feeling exhausted. Might need to bump up to one whole Tylenol PM again tonight. Have Monday off, so I can experiment with this. Wow. it is amazing to have 7 hours of solid sleep!! Feels like a normal person. :yay::yay:
