I hate significant portions of the Disney Channel's schedule, but Kim Possible is a gem. I don't have kids, so for it to appeal to me at all is a good sign. Quirky, smart writing. Good actors with great celeb voices and good animation.

So, for a show that has multigenerational appeal, it seems a shoein for a park attraction. So where is it?

Although DCP is content to crank out truck loads of KP merchandise, I wonder if the 100 episodes and you're out rule is keeping the accountineers from freeing up any cash?

BTW, any recent in park sitings of KP or Ron? The early photos I've seen were not-so-great likenesses.

I scoured WDW last January looking for Dave the Barbarian merch. Nothing, not even a lousy pin.

They had KP and Ron in the parks?

Did they capture his inner Roness?

I'd get a rufus pin.

HERE THAT DISNEY, THAT'S LIKE $8.50 you're leaving on the table.

LOL. :rotfl: My DDs have just started watching KP, and Ron is my fav. You totally captured his essence!

Kim looks a little old. ... Actually, she looks like an Ariel they didn't need that day and they get Ariel looking bad all the time.

I wish DL had them out, It's well known in the company and out that Disneyland has much more attractive princesses then Florida. And if I'm gonna see a 20 something year old starving actress play a Teenage cartoon, then I want her to be attractive. Not that that actress is unattractive, just not attractive enough. Plus, she doesn't look cheerleadery enough.

You know what, DCA's Block party parade is filled with girls that are supercheerleaderly, cute and would look the part.

I've probably crossed a Dis line of creepiness up there, but I stand by my statement.

Also, you're right, Ron's better.

Now I know why nobody was posting in the rumors section yesterday.

It's funny, my wife and I often discuss the "merits" of the various face characters all the time. Ariel and Snow white seem to be the hardest to actually cast. And Jasmine, because rarely do they actually find someone of appropriate ethnicity.

Probably because Ariel is drawn with eyes the size of billiard balls. Snow White has that cherub-round face that isn't easy to duplicate in real life.

But when they do (or come close) they've had some really realistic ones.

"Funny" isn't the first adjective that came to mind.

Um...huh...where are we going with this thread anyway? You guys do know these are cartoons right?

This thread is crashing fast. We could discuss WHY there is no KP attraction.

Maybe it just doesn't have the right-aged audience for a theme park ride. It's too old for the preschooler/tame ride, and too young for a teen/thrill ride. :confused3 Or maybe, they don't think it has the longevity for investing in a ride. (Although, I would think Monsters Inc. was passe. My DDs have never watched it and are not interested.) On that thought, maybe there's no attraction because KP's not Pixar :teeth:

We saw Ron & KP when we were at MGM last week. We were waiting for Lightning McQueen and Mater when I noticed Kim standing around the corner.

I took pictures of KP with my DS & DD. We were just about to walk away when Ron came running up. He was definitely more into the character than Kim was, although she was very nice. Once I pointed out to some other people KP was there, many people went over for pics and autographs. I just don't think Disney does a great job letting people know where she is (off the Streets of America).

On another board, I saw a post that they are casting for a new street performance over at EPCOT with KP & crew. That's a little better than a meet and greet. Sort of......

Where would this be? I'm not sure how KP fits with Epcot.

I dunno...I think she fits in Epcot about as well as Dinoland does in AK....heh.

Considering DAK was meant to be about animals from the past, future and in myth, I disagree with you. Dinoland fits with the original premise of DAK.

er....the 'heh' indicated I was jesting....as in 'heh-heh'. Sorry, not a big emoticon kinda guy.

In any case, I never contended that dinosaurs don't belong in AK. My gripe was with the execution. As for not fitting in at Epcot... it would seem that anything can be made to fit in at Epcot. The theme of this theme park is sorta open ended.
