So where were all the lime green ribbons?

I was at WDW around July 4 and did not see a single lime green ribbon. I had mine tied to my backpack. So where was yours? Or we all just a bunch of closet Dis'ers?

I wasn't there :-( I don't always see lime green ribbons. I always look for them though.

I try to check the DIS meets board before a trip, to get an idea about who might be there

I was there June 29th until July 13th and I din't see any lime green ribbon. I din't have any myself though on July 9th myslef and Bouncy did wear very dashing lime green hats with red flowers attached at MGM. We attracted a LOT of attention and were the first people flashed on the screens at Who wants to be a millionairre.
If anyone saw us (we were difficult to miss) I would just like to say that neither of us would EVER go out in public like that at home .

nativetxn, I had checked the meet board before leaving but didn't find any meets - also, I don't know that I would have wanted to spend a lot of precious WDW time at a meet. But I thought a few fortuitous meetings would be fun.

I really thought I'd meet several of you because a lot of Dis'ers said they'd be at WDW on July 4 or immediately thereafter. I even had a special treat for the first Dis'er to come up and say "Hi." But when no-one did, I went on the look-out myself. I saw a couple of lime green t-shirts - but didn't want to approach a total stranger and ask "Do you Dis?"

So my follow-up question is do you not want to be bugged by other Dis'ers while at WDW?

I would have loved to have been "bugged" by fellow Dis'ers when we were there in April! I had green ribbons tied to my purse or fanny-pack at all times and never got approached!

We are leaving next week and I went to Home Depot and got a few lime green Mickey Heads that I plan to wear while i'm out and about in the parks. I also found some lime green ribbon yesterday on sale so, I've attached it to my pool bag. I hope to meet a few Dis'ers

I picked up those HD Mickey heads too! But could you tell me where you found the Lime Green ribbon? I'm having a really hard time finding it up here in NE.

I got my lime green ribbon at JoAnn's Fabrics. They had bags full of ribbons for $1.99. I don't know if they have that store up there. If you don't happen to come across any let me know and I can mail you the rest of what I have since, DH & DD refuse to wear the lime green

even if every diser who went that day had lime green on, think about how many people are in the parks. there's a good chance you won't see green even if lots of disers have it on.

I plan to go on a "lime green ribbon hunt" before our trip. I know I am the only one who will put one on and DH will roll his eyes when I tell him why I am wearing it. Mother and Sister will just drop if anyone talks to me. They LOVE Disney but think I am way over the top! Gotta get my fix reading these boards in between trips!! My sister thinks I know someone everywhere I go...won't she be surprised.

I was there 6/30-7/7 and didn't see any lime green ribbons. I did have my HD Mickey head on my fanny pack with a green ribbon. There were a lot of people with lime green clothing and hats but nothing else like a ribbon to identify themselves as a Diser. I checked out people as they walked by - but nothing.

I've been wondering what all the referals to lime green was. I assumed it had something to do with the FTP package or something. I learn something new every day.

I wass o hoping to meet some of you. I had the HD Green Mickey on my hat and I was checking when in lines. Sure sorry I did not get to say Hi!

When we were at WDW June 15-21, I looked everywhere for lime green ribbon. The only time I saw any was at Epcot outside The Land pavilion. There were two strollers parked there with lime green ribbon on them, but there were not any people around. They were still there when we left, and we didn't see them again that day in Epcot.

I couldn't find lime green ribbon, but I found lime green yarn at Walmart so I used that instead. I had it tied to all the zippers on my fanny pack, and I wore it every day that week, but no one ever approached me. I'm saving the yarn for next visit though. It would be so cool to actually have a DISer come up and say Hi!!
