I booked for NYE on the first day I could and couldn't get my #1 choice Teppan Edo. Instead I got Tokyo Dining. In the meantime I have noticed from online dining all that's left is Nine Dragons.

So what else is everyone doing for the NY eve dinner?

Sorry to hear you didn't get your first choice. I too called the first morning I could to get ADR's and was lucky in getting my first choice. I got an ADR for Todd English’s Blue Zoo. I realize it could be a little risky getting into EPCOT after dinner, but if we can't I guess there's alcohol at DHS as well :goodvibes

Originally I had booked Teppan Edo ... then I changed to Chefs de France. Yesterday I changed Chefs to lunch and booked Biergarten for dinner. Not sure why I didn't start with Biergarten in the first place as it is one of our favorites.

we are eating at CP...not where i wanted to be, but we wanted to go there to eat on our trip and since they will be closed after january 3rd...i figured why not. i think one of the parades is around there at 3 and we have reservations for 4, so maybe it will work out.

We have been to wdw for NYE 3 times before and last year decided to leave the parks before the midnite madness(we never go to MK-it has been closed to all guestsncluding resort guests by 10am each time we have been for NYE)we are eating at 9pm at Kouzzina at BW and will go to DHS/Epcot during the day then hang out at BW area to view fireworks from DHS and Epcot for midnite without the craziness of trying to leave a park after midnite....did this last year when we ate a YC and it worked great.

That's a really great idea! Is the view good from there? That's a great alternative if we want to go back to the resort without waiting forever. We could go to DTD and take a bus or walk from there as part of our party is staying at SSR.

Funny Nine Dragons still has availability & was my kids' first choice, but I guess it's not too popular. I know it gets mixed reviews, but we've never had a bad meal & we love the pot stickers & pepper steak w/ rice. Anyway, we're also taking our chances & not getting to Epcot till late. We've done the whole day thing & it just gets to be too much with the long hours & huge crowds. Our ADR is 9pm at Nine Dragons & I'm just hoping we can get in Epcot around 7pm, but we may just have to wait until the early fireworks are over...I hope.

TressyB,

I think you will enjoy your dinner at Tokyo Dining. I had dinner there last night and the service and food was excellent.

Enjoy.

We have Rose and Crown at 10:30pm. We are at BCV and we are planning on arriving at 7pm too. I hope we will still get in.

Since you will be a Walt Disney World resort guest staying at the Beach Club Villas, you will be able to enter Epcot with no problems.

We are going to Epcot for NYE. We'll get there at park opening and won't plan on leaving since this park closes early every year. We have lunch ressies at Tutto Italia and dinner ressies at LeCellier. We normally never do 2 table service restaurants but we figured it would be a nice break from the crowds. We'll stay till midnight and walk back to BWV:cool1:

BTW, I have read that once the park reaches full capacity, even resort guests are not allowed in. It's closes in stages but Epcot is huge so maybe getting in later won't be a problem.

Le Cellier @ 10:25 PM. I was very lucky to pick this up from a fellow DISer. Not sure how early I need to get to Epcot. 10 AM? I don't want to take any chances even though I am staying on property.

Aww good luck everyone. We did NYE in Disney last year and had a blast. We had dinner at Teppan Edo and stayed to watch the first showing of the fireworks and then went back to the Boardwalk and eventually YC to celebrate the New Year there. We had no problem getting into Epcot at 8 p.m. for our 9 p.m. dinner ressie. Everything worked out well. You are all smart in making ADRs, as we encountered a lot of angry guests in WDW who didn't know that you need to make reservations. We noticed that Epcot did not close due to high capacity last year for those guests staying at a WDW resort. I'm not sure what stage of closing they were at, but we had no problem walking in via the Epcot entrance. Have a great time!

This year, we have ADRs for Teppan Edo for 3pm, and Rose and Crown for 9pm. :goodvibes RIght now, our plan is to get there around 2, head over to Japan, eat, take a walk around the World Showcase, wind up in England for our ADR, and then steak out a spot for the fireworks. However, we may cancel our llunch ADR in favor of hanging out at the hotel, and just going for our Dinner ADR. Last year we got into the park at 8pm with no problems.

Chef Susan(sorry mickey) will be making Taco's in our room. Decided on Taco's because we can make everything earlier in the day and then we will set out everything at dinner time and have a taco bar. We decided it would be much easier this way because there will be 5 adult women and 2 men trying to get ready for partying at JR's. Much better than fighting the crowds. Plus you can eat dinner with hair curlers a robe and no make up and no one will care:dance3: Susan

We have a 7:45 Reservation at Teppen Edo.....We are staying at the BCV's and we will stroll into Epcot around 7 that night. We have been going to WDW for NYE since 1999/2000 and the only year it was truly a madhouse was that year. We have never had a problem entering the park and I don't expect one this year, especially considering the state of the economy. I didn't think last year in Epcot was bad at all, sure it was packed but nothing compared to previous years.

From BC area you can see the high fireworks from epcot and also see the ones at DHS. We sat on beach chairs watched the shows and then hit the road.

We have a 1:40 pm ADR at Le Cellier. We wanted a late lunch so we could snack around during the evening. We'll be up early that day, so I doubt we party till 12. The 7-ish fireworks will be fine with us. :thumbsup2
