Is this right? I asked this on another post, it was not getting answered, so I thought I'd start a new thread. :goodvibes

Disney will upgrade my tickets to no expiring if I choose? Even though not bought directly through them? Thanks a lot :cool1:

I believe the answer is yes, but you will also have to make up the difference between your discounted price and the regular price. So if you're upgrading, you might as well buy them from Disney. The tickets all have serial numbers attached so they know where they were bought and for how much.

i.e. If the ticket is $300 from Disney, but $250 through the discount place, you'll have to pay the $50 difference in price, as well as the price to upgrade the ticket.

Not sure if the same rules apply to us in the Uk but we bought our tickets through ticketmania (I think it's a UK website) last year and upgraded to APs with no problem at all.
Like I said that was UK but I would suppose that a ticket is a ticket.
Hope its been of help.

The answer to the OP's question is yes, you can add the no expiration option to them.

FYI: When upgrading a MYW ticket (the OP is not doing that, just adding an option), there is no longer any price difference to take into consideration. MYW ticket upgrades are based on the gate price of all tickets, not the purchase price like the old PH/PHPs were. So it no longer matters whether someone paid $250 or $300. It will cost the same to upgrade either ticket.

It's also because of this that Disney resorts can now put admission media that was purchased from non-Disney sources (AAA, Ticketmania, etc) onto resort IDs.

GoldenOldie is right - you do not have to pay the difference from the discounted price. Just pay the $$ amount of the No Exp option.

and was hearing about being able to transfer the ticket to your disney world resort key.

do i just show them my ticket on check in at my resort and ask if they can please add it to the room key/s (hubby will need a key to right to get into the park?

any help on this would be great.
thanks

COOL!!! Thanks so much! It will make it easier to decide at that time than worrying about it now. So where do I upgrade, or can we do it after we leave? Thanks again

You take your resort ID and your Ticketmania ticket to the Lobby Concierge desk at the resort and they will take care of it for you.

You can add the no expiration option at the Lobby Concierge desk at your resort or it can be done at any Guest Relations location at any theme park or at DTD. You cannot do it after you leave and it must be done within 14 days of first use of your ticket.
