I'm still chuckling over the thread started last night by luvFlorida about the 400-song playlist that her daughter wanted her to type up and email her. So, this thread is inspired by that. :)

Anyway, looks like quite a few people received iPods/MP3 players, etc, for Christmas. So...what have you downloaded on yours? What are you listening to on that new toy?

I've downloaded my Yo Yo Ma CD, an audio book "Against All Enemies", some videos I made of our trips this year, and some of the kids' CDs that we listen to in the car. I must admist, my playlists sound pretty lame. Looks like I could use some help and get inspired by what you all have on yours!

And don't worry...I'm not asking for anyone to type up their 400-song playlist. :rotfl2:

Jack Johnson, Josh Kelley, Jason Mraz, Colin Hay, The Shins, Wilco, Cousteau, John Mayer, Death Cab for Cutie, and Damien Rice to name a few!

I got a Creative Zen Sleek for Christmas from SWMBO. I already have almost our entire CD collection ripped to MP3 on a portable hard drive so copying it over was no big deal - just time consuming. Anyway, I have about 3000 songs from about 300 different albums on mine, from rock to Bach (no kidding - I have the Brandenberg Concerti :) ).

Right now I am listening to Mannheim Steamroller Meets the Mouse :)

I don``t have any yet. I haven`t figured out how to work it yet. :wave2:

OK- although I've heard of John Mayer, I've never heard of any of the others- what type of music is most of this?

Jackie

I have Sarah McLaughlin, the Dixie Chicks, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down and Carlos Santana.

My tastes are pretty eclectic, too. Love the Brandenberg...played it in orchestra. Love Billy Joel, James Taylor, Dixie Chicks, and Diana Krall. Actually, DH is going to be putting the Diana Krall "Live in Paris" CD on my iPod since he has it.

I've ripped 700 songs so far. I love my little music machine. I've already worn out one pair of ear buds.

I'm listening to Queen. Man, I couldn't stand them as a teenager and now...and NOW! I'm just sitting here thinking "pure genius!" I was an idiot and Freddie Mercury was brilliantly talented. How sad that he's gone.
